With mutiple versions and colors of the HISS tank being produced over the years, which is you favorite? I don't want to say best because it is subjective. I am going to be boring and say the original design and the original color. The black 1983 HISS tank. Although the arctic version is a very close second with the added on accessories and missile launcher.

The Hiss II is my favorite because of the troop compartment and the three barreled laser.

The first, and for several reasons: It really innovated for the time. Driver....and gunner! That was neat. But the kicker was the foot pegs on the back, so others could ride along. When you introduce the hook for towing things, it was perfect. Black and red color scheme sold it as evil, and it was clearly a "mass production" tank to fight Joe. I believed a terrorist organization could crank these out. |

Black Pursuit of Cobra version. It took the classic design and amped it up with modern styling. The sleek angular body with the armored canopy just looks mean. Plus rolling treads, even if they don't work quite as well as they should, are still one of the best features on a Joe vehicle. But then I'm more of a modern style Joe fan. |

Well, I'll always have a soft spot for the Hiss V1, but I'm currently very high on the Black Hiss V5. I finally got a complete one, and I love it. Sinister and modern. However some casters, I believe it was TofuJesse, were working on a real-tread conversion kit for the Hiss V1. If that ever comes out, I'll revisit my decision. |

That's a tough question. The basic design has been consistent throughout all the different models. Version 1 is a classic, a nice simple design that could translate into the real world (not the most practical design mind you, but it could be a real vehicle), Version 2 was a beefed up, bigger version of the original, now with troop carrying capabilities. The next version had that POP up, snake shaped head...ok, this is by far my least favorite HISS. The DTC version used a different weapon system, a more believable armored canopy and a troop compartment. The PoC/30th version was and awesome new design, but still recognizable as the next in line of the HISS. The Retaliation/SDCC HISS was an improvement over the already awesome PoC/30th version with a glass cockpit and a manned turret. Then there's the on screen HISSes of Pyramid of Darkness, Resolute, Renegades and Retaliation, all awesome in their own right. So my favorite? While I definitely don't like the pop-up head version, I'd have to go with the Retaliation HISS by design. As a toy, it would have been greatly improved with the real working tracks of the PoC version. The version one and DTC are a close second. |

The original only beats the DTC version by a thin margin. I prefer the over all look of the DTC one, but I do not care for the half hatch in the back. I redid mine with a solid hatch and I like it a whole lot better. So if we're including customizing, my DTC HISS would be the favorite. |

V1 all the way. It is simplistic, classic and iconic to Cobra. There's not much more you could ask for a 30 year old design. The Hiss II would have a strong case...were it released in more traditional Cobra colors. I still don't know why Hasbro only used that for a Con exclusive in the repaint era. You'd have thought it could have been slotted to TRU or KB at least once. |

I've never owned a hiss II so I can't judge it. I would have to say my favorite is the HISS III, though the v1 is still the iconic one. |

V5, and not just because it has working tracks. It looks sleek, armored, and a little sinister. I really appreciate that it doesn't have the shoot me here, driver on showcase, glassed in cockpit of other HISSes. And, I dig the woodland brown color scheme. |
