After reading the other post about Hasbro failing to capitalize on some retailers wanting the JOE figures, I was curious what you all thought would a great Wave 3 or even Wave 4 selection of figures?

I would like to see Hasbro be smart about it. Something along the lines of 'if we make a Firefly, then we can make a Wreckage figure' since it is the same parts, just with a different pain t app. Once you get x parts, thn you can make y and z...

I would like to see the inclusion of a female this time. I could see a new recipe of parts maybe using some combination of the RoC Cover Girl, the decent ME Lady Jaye, figure, or using the Scarlett/Lady Jaye one.

Another JOE army builder. Possibly either another og13 body or Steel Brigade.

Another Cobra army builder. Maybe a Cobra Trooper done up in gray or red.

I don't think they would have done any non central characters. If they did it I would have expected something along the lines of:

Repaint of retaliation flint
Repaint of retaliation lady Jaye
Tan retaliation Joe trooper
Another cobra trooper, maybe gray as you said
Repaint of retaliation zartan
Another version of red ninja

We could get some of the Sky Patrol, since they are repaints with new heads.

Why would they just do straight repaints of retail stuff? Nothing in the DG assortments thus far were just straight repaints of retail stuff.

I think they would do that to make it economical and get more mileage out of the retaliation molds. It is just what I think.

No. Renegades/30th Storm Shadow, which the Red Ninja is 85% a reprint of as well.

He did sport the Resolute Samurai Storm Shadow head, though. While it's obviously a lateral move from masked ninja head to masked ninja head, it does make him not a straight repaint of a regular retail figure.

I do hope the Dollar General line continues. They got some good mileage out of those first two waves, I'd love to see what they can do with two more waves in a similar vein.


...no they weren't. At all. Cobra Commander was made from a 25th Anniversary Cobra Commander head with a Crimson Guard torso and Renegades Cobra Commander's arms and legs. Shipwreck was a ROC Shipwreck head on a POC Snake-Eyes torso and arms with Renegades Duke's legs.

Make this a gp. The same rules apply to the project as hasbro has, 4 colors, basic parts swaps.... We should see what we can come up with.

To my original post on here about what I thought would have happened, they were just possible examples of characters. They don't necessarily have to be straight repaints. I mean, they could change out Flint's legs and give him the full articulation. They could change arms here or there, I guess my main point was I would expect anything else that may or may not come about with regards to Dollar General to be based on Retaliation molds, figures, and characters. But again, this is just my opinion based on what I think would be the most cost effective option for them.

I would've bought the heck out of another reprint of the Zap Duke figure. Tan to match the Club's Grunt would've been the bee's knees.

I like the Firefly reprinted as wreckage idea. And now at MU is done with the body, how about SDCC Destro/MU Professor X as Tomax/Xamot?.
