Chap Mei has done it again. First it was that Rocket Hauler. Then that Navy Seal Boat. More recently that huge ass C-130. Now it's a ---- Submarine! here's the link (someone else spotted it first, kudos to that dude) http://www.hisstank.com/forum/toys/3679 ... e-sub.html I've never cared for sea vehicles but this Submarine is too amazingly beautiful to pass up on. And it comes with an arsenal of missiles! |

You know, it always bugged me just a little that G.I. Joe never got a really impressive sub. There was the little Barracuda, which was cool enough and at least looked like a sub, unlike the SHARC, which was capable, if a little odd, and some other oddball vehicles that had submersible capabilities, but never anything of a decent size that really looked like a sub. This does. May well have to consider it if it shows up near me, depending on price. |

Cool! I'd love to know what's going on in that front compartment. Knowing Chap Mei, probably very little, but it would be nice to get a look at it before I get too excited and do something stupid...like buy one of these with the intention of fleshing out the interior, and then put it straight into the closet next to all the other large vehicle projects buried under mountains of dust. It's really cool that somebody finally made a decent submarine for 3 3/4" figures, though; other than a cargo aircraft, that was the biggest hole in the 1:18 vehicle market, and Chap Mei has filled both of those voids in recent years. If this hits the U.S., I'll be sorely tempted to grab one. |

Sweet. Haven't seen that here yet, but I did see their newest pirate ship set, and fell in some serious like-like with it. Full ratlines....detailed masts and sails...overall color scheme was decent and they kept the bright to a bare minimum. They coupled it with the Skull Cave/treasure hoard and three pirates. Cost is $50, but the set is huge. Now if only they would reissue the viking ship. But this sub is better than one I saw many a year ago which had a full cut-away from com through to the engine room. It was gray and shaped like the more current fare. |

So true! I've been waiting for something like this for a long time. I kept thinking of getting the Joe Tiger Shark (3 ft. long one scaled for ~1/32 ) and gutting it for 1/18, but this will work much better. But too bad it doesn't appear to have traditional torpedo tubes. |

This thing is neat. To me, it looks like a retooling of the body of the C130 they released. Could be wrong, though. |

I literally owe it to kid me to buy this and make the Cobra sub of my dreams. And then I would owe it to kid me to lock myself in a room with a bunch of EELS and some other cool figures. |
