Ok got the latest two today. Now what is everyone doing that has them open them up and display or leave in the package for a MOC display?
I want to open Dice Jinx and Big Boa. I have fodder to make a Quarrel and the Nano bat is cool but i could leave him in the package since i only have the one.

Thoughts?

I don't have a subscription, but I am buying about half of them either through BBTS for $25 or through the club for $37.50. I don't plan on opening any, except for the Nano-BAT, for which I have bought 2.

I've only opened Jinx. Haven't received the latest shipment but I'm keeping Boa carded as long as I can help myself.

I will simply never understand the 'pay too damned much and choose to not enjoy' mentality.

Open your friggin toys, people. You're completely missing the entire point.

i personally see no use for carded and boxed toys at all ever, but i dont look at them as any sort of an investment thats not what i collect for.

Here's the way I look at it. I have a customizer side and a collector side. All those premium price figures (or the majority of them) are made from molds used for other figures that can be obtained much cheaper, so if I want to make a custom using those parts, I will just use the cheaper version. My collector side wants to have them for some reason, but my customizer side says

"hey, don't open that $#@t you paid too much for, I can sell that for more money down the road than you just paid and get some fodder."

My collector side says,

"okay, no problem, I just want to have it and I don't know why. I just like to look at it. But you better make something cool to look at when you sell it."

So thats how it goes.

I also got my :topside: and :bigboa:
If the card art was decent maybe I would keep them carded. I like to open mine though. Now I have a reason to open my Joe hydrofoil. :D

I don't see mine as an investment, but there are some items that I get that I prefer to leave boxed or carded, just because of the artistic value of the packaging and item as a whole. The times that that happens, though, I usually just get one to open and one to display.

My closet full of MOC figs with explosion back card-art is pretty damned enjoyable.

Yep. I never understood the "people can only enjoy things in the same way I do" mentality. Do what you want with your purchases and ignore what everyone says you should do.

I didn't get the choice on boa, the bubble was detached from the card in the mailer box. But I kinda like it like that. :)

Mine was like that too - the bubble was about three-quarters detached. Thankfully I open mine, so it wasn't really a problem.

I open all my figures because I couldn't resist even if I wanted to keep them carded. That's why card art is irrelevant except as forum avatar usage. :)

I really wish that the club would choose to make the bubbles snap shut, this way the figures could be removed and put back. Sealing the bubble, to me, is not the best option.

Hm. Snap bubbles probably cost more and would decrease the number of people ordering a second figure to keep it carded. So "best option" depends on which side of the exchange of money you find yourself.
