I havent gotten any of the large sets yet but I do have some of the individual figures.
I want to get the boat and the ninja Dojo to start with. and still need a few of the single figures.
So far they are not a bad figure.

Of course I really dig the Rock 'n' Roll Kreon. But the sets really surprised me. The VAMP is pretty neat and the RAM Cycle is cool but I have to say my favorite set so far is the Battle Platform. But the line as a whole doesn't have a single stinker in the bunch. So much fun putting them together and the customizing potential is limitless. Really the best fun thing to happen to G.I. Joe since Sigma 6.

The best starter imo is Checkpoint Alpha. But as figures go, I really love AT Commander. That figure seems to fully convey how much they can do with this brand in this expression.

The BAT will be awesome. Looking forward to Outback too. Right now, like notpicard said, the AT commander is fun. I put him on the display shelf next to Retaliation Colton.

I'm liking the Cobra Troopers since I got a group of BrickArms guns to give them better firepower. Now they have more in scale AK47 style guns. The set I got has guns sort of closer to what the trooper figures had, but I like the AKs better. Really most of them are cool. I just don't like the ones that are suppose to be shirtless and bare arms but still have that huge shoulder and wrist. I'd like to have seen different arms used for the bare armed figures or at least give them all wrist straps. I might end up getting some Lego guys and change out the arms for like Quick Kick and Copperhead. I can dremel a ball socket into the Lego arms and pop them on.
