Now that the Tomahawk has been revealed, does it make sense that they would use it as a TF crossover for SDCC as that has been sort of a pattern? If so, who would it be? Blackout?

That is a good question. I don't think there is an obvious A-list or B-list character that would be an ideal match. Blades, Vortex, and Whirl would all be possibilities, and I think Blades would be the best fit of those options, but none of those characters feel like big enough names to sell a set. Blackout could be an option, though I personally hope not since I have zero interest in the Bayformers and would almost certainly skip such an offering.

Before the Tomahawk/Eagle Hawk announcement, I was thinking that we would get an updated WHALE if we got any classic update at all, since it had an obvious TF crossover use as Seaspray (not an A-list character, but an obvious choice).

I'm hoping they do something with a new/nonpreviously rereleased vehicle. The WHALE would be fine with me. I have a feeling they won't though.

Something to think about is that Megatron was a pseudo-helicopter in Transformers:Animated. It was more akin to a Mamba as it was based on an Osprey, so it wasn't really a helicopter, but probably close enough to force the Tomahawk into a major character like Megatron.

Yeah, what about that one Autobot that was a Coast Guard like helicopter? Modify the tomahawk in those colors, throw in a pilot and Doc, there you go!

I was kinda thinking Blades from the Protectobots could work. But I agree there isn't an A Lister that'd work. I think Hound, Trailbreaker, Gears, or even Prime using the Retaliation Ninja VAMP would be better than trying to shoehorn a character onto a mold that doesn't really work for the character.

I love the idea, but I also think the Tomahawk might be large enough (and expensive enough, especially as a convention exclusive) that most collectors would probably only have room and budget for the classic color/ non-exclusive version. I'd like it, though!

With all the "cost cutting", they could go backwards and give us a repainted Ninja Commando 4x4, paint it blue and call it Beachcomber and then charge the same price they did for Shockwave.

I would love to see a Trailbreaker-colored Ninja Combat Cruiser! This is already the year of Trailbreaker (er ... Trailcutter), so why not make another?

Maybe a different seeker jet then...

But I could see the new vamp put out as an ironhide, given that he's a big black truck now.

Where'd that copter called Evac come from? Maybe I don't pay as close attention to Transformers as I used to, but I don't ever recall seeing that.

I think Springer is a little unlikely since they're doing a Springer in the Transformers Classics line this year. Then again, that might make him a logical contender.

That particular Evac is from the first Transformers movie line.
