Hey all,

I was looking at bbts.com and came across these New Alien Capsule figures, they're like the Halo avatar figures, looks like the face huggers are in scale with GI Joes, have a look and see for yourselves.

The halo avatar figs heads are almost joe scale, the bodies are @ 2 inches tall. These look neat.

I was looking for other Capsule Q stuff on HLJ. Most of it anime girl statuary so I'm not sure if these will have the 5poa they appear to have, but they should def be roughly Joe scale. The girls were a bit taller than the guy's hand was wide. HLJ should have more pics once they list them (probably cheaper than BBTS, but sold only by the box).

Yeah, but I think this is the guy that was holding them, so they might not be Joe scale...

No, they are. That guy's just 18th scale himself.

Whatever happened to Super 7 making the cancelled Kenner figures?

We'll probably know more about that after WonderCon at the end of the month.

They'd have to recreate the molds, to my understanding. They generally do that sort of gashapon stuff with lower-quality molds not designed to last long. So HT would basically have to budget them as a brand new item. Since they've not done any more Snap Kits since the Appleseed ones, I'm thinking they didn't find them profitable enough. But frankly, if they released them AvP sets in the country where the fandom is they may find it would be worth their while. But who knows how much they'd cost nowadays, since they were already $12-15 several years ago.

yeah..imagine if the colonial marine snap kits were released in the US full distributions.....people would have cried with joy..instead of having to hunt them down on ebay

If those had been even remotely available in the U.S., I would have gone crazy snapping them up. As it is I was able to find three cases of them several years ago from an overseas seller for a price that wasn't astronomical. I cleaned them out and haven't seen the figures for anything less than around $30-50 per character (with the aliens selling for far less) ever since.

These capsule figures look nice, and I'll be curious to see what the scale is like on the spacesuited figure. I never get tired of looking at that spacesuit design: it's one of the coolest costume/prop pieces in any movie.

I wish HT would do snap kits of anything, really. Keep it 18th scale and I'd probably be real tempted to get one of anything they'd put out. There's so much stuff that's out there that deserves its own one-wave, 6-fig set of action figures. They'd be filling the void that UniMax was trying to create and fill. Do that exact model with HT quality and you'd likely have a successful line.
