I think I read about this and should not have been shocked, but $250 still shocked me. If only it was a U.S.S. Flagg |

That exact same item sold for $160 at TRU just 2 years ago. The markup in that amount of time is insane. Since it isn't even half the size of a Flagg, one sold in TRU today would be over $500. |

It's in a vintage style box, hence the mark up. |

My wife got mine at a local auction for $45. Missing only the figs and some missiles. |

When the Falcon was $150, I told myself I already had two of the smaller ones, and that was all I needed. When Wal-Mart had it on sale for $100, I bit. And I have to admit, I'm pretty happy with it, maybe could have convinced myself in retrospect to pay the original $150. Later a friend found one complete plus several figures for forty bucks at a garage sale, picked it up for me and wouldn't let me pay him back. I would pay $250 for a large-scale vehicle that I really wanted, but I don't see Hasbro putting out anything I want. I'd have interest in a Sail Barge or an upscaled Sand Crawler, but if it's $250 dollars, I'm just fine with my Jabba's Palace diorama and the Vintage-scale Sand Crawler. I'd buy a BMF-sized Dash Rendar's Outrider for $250, but I'm one of the few who would, and Hasbro would never invest that level of resources into that ship. |
