Super7 is bringing the 1979 Alien line to the collectors
http://toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=1&itemid=20296

Now your Kenner SW figures and Fisher Price Adventure People will know the fear of the 8th passenger.

You'd have to be a pretty hardcore fan to lay out $20 for those.

Indeed. With only 7 parts to assemble, the tooling and licensing fees must eat most of the production costs.

Not worthwhile to me at all. Outdated figs and design and the price does not justify it. For the price I'd at least consider modern design and such

I really do not get the appeal of these at all.

Im interested in Ash and the suit, but only as fodder to bash-ticulate.

I think they are awesome. I don't want to own them though.

I love 'em. I'm not sure if I'll buy all four, but I'm sorely tempted to. I'm a sucker for unproduced stuff, and those Kenner Alien figures are pretty high on the list of interesting unproduced items. It's also kind of cool that they even considered making figures from such a defiantly un-kid-friendly movie, so that's a plus. I consider Alien the best horror film ever made, and it scared the crap out of me as a kid (the facehugger scene, in particular), so I almost feel like I need to have these guys around the house as pieces of personal history.

That said, if they made figures of Harry Dean Stanton's and Yaphet Kotto's characters, I wouldn't even be writing this; I'd be handing over my money on the spot. "Cranky maintenance worker" is an underrepresented demographic in the action figure world.

I'm all over these.
Not real thrilled with the price, but still pretty excited to get these. I was planning on getting at least two sets, one for MOC and one set for loose, but for $20 each, I may only get one set.

It's about time we got a Tom Skerritt action figure.
He'll be able to tell Ace to stop being so reckless with the Sky Striker.

I'm excited for these... There is an undenyable appeal that 5 POA figures have...I like highly articulated figures as much as everybody else...but these just have such a vintagey goodness about them, I find them hard to resist...

I think it's a neat concept and I'm glad for the Aliens fans out there. Not for me personally, but I appreciate the effort. Hopefully, this funds other action figure ideas for Super7.
