http://www.joedeclassified.com/?p=629 I love that Alpine. The Desert Viper would have easily filled a nice hole. Considering I stayed away from all the other mechs I probably would have just tracked down these drivers if it had been released. Too bad too, as those figures look cool but they got saddled with mechs that never moved at retail. And that is a stranger aspect as mechs in general are cool, but the Joe mechs suffered from overuse where every mech looked the same. |

I liked the mechs well enough that I would have bought these too like I did the previous ones. They were not amazing since mechs have been done to death by so many other toylines, but they were still cool enough to me. Of course they were not to the market obviously. The figures however would be the main things I would have been after. I wish at the very least the Cobra figure would get a release. I assume he was suppose to be an update Desert Scorpion. If not, they could tweak it a bit, single card it, then release it as such. I'd buy my "army building" limit of 3 at least. http://www.yojoe.com/action/91/desertscorpion.shtml |

That Desert Scorpion doesn't do much for me. Besides, I've since made my own which I'm far more happier with. |

desert scorpion would have been neat to see in production. probably would have passed on him, and that alpine trends on the garish side. |

That Alpine is horrible as a GIJoe figure. It would've made an awesome Rescue Hero though. |

With just a little work, those figures would be awesome additions to the line. |

I'd also get my army build of 6 of those Desert Viper/Scorpions if they were single card released. |

I really don't like that Desert Scorpion, myself. I like the original toy and this frankensteining just doesn't do it justice. Not to mention the fact that that old Zartan body suffers a bit from Diaper Crotch syndrome. Part of me would also rather see the Sand Viper or Sand Scorpion that were introduced during Spy Troops and Valor vs Venom. |
