At this point, their universe is so sideways I don't think changing a main writer can save it. Call me when they do a reboot again, this time with Jerwa at the helm.
I'm sorry... but Jerwa makes Dixon look like frickin' Shakespeare.
I would agree Jerwa's work makes Dixon's look likes something besides G.I.Joe but i wouldn't pick Shakespeare. No Joe writer is perfect, and we can all disagree due to style and taste etc. It's probably a good idea to remember Hasbro has often had a negative hand (story wise) in the Joe comics, and it's hard to know where that influence is. As for Jerwa, he penned Master and Apprentice, Snake-Eyes Declassified, and his original frontline story which imo were some of the best Joe stories ever. He started the Stall story, introduced an acceptable amount of new characters(including Wraith), but focused on growth of the ones we knew, and fixed some past messes like Storm shadow's allegiance, the fate of the Arashakagne clan, and dealt with the green shirts. I think people give him a bad rap over Lady Jay and the red shadows without realizing that story was truncated by Blaylock. Blaylock is 2nd to the bottom on my list of Joe writers, and I think he held Jerwa back.
