Yes, Hasbro is going to likely launch their own online polling system.

No, I don't think we should wait for them. These concept items are fresh in our memories, so I think the time to talk about them, vote about them, and get the enthusiasm rolling is right now.

With help from a GeneralsJoes reader, we have set up a SurveyMonkey survey to gather feedback for your favorite items in the concept case! Check out the details and the survey itself at the link below:

G.I. Joe Fans - Vote on the Concept Case!

Hasbro told us at the Convention that they are going to be closely watching polls like this. If there is something in there that you really want to see get made, I highly suggest that you take part in this community wide vote.

I filled it out. I didn't type in any wanted unproduced vehicles or figures in the last part. I haven't been following the "what could happen" stuff so I didn't want to type in something that wasn't even on the radar. I figure the rankings were the main parts anyway.

Filled mine out... Thanks for putting this together.

I'd love to see somebody put together one of these for the Club... I don't know about anybody else, But I never take the time to fill out the con survey...It's just enough scribbles to enter the free trip drawing. Con time is too valuable to spend filling out forms... I have lines to stand in.

Oh, you can bet your dirty Crystal Balls I spent time filling out my survey this year. I know a few others did too. Heck, Hawk's had an index page and footnotes.

Gah,

<soapbox>

I find that 20 option ranking systems are generally ineffective in garnering real feedback, and challenge the surveyed's ability to complete or stay interested in the process long enough to complete.

If you are looking at a ranking system using SM, the maximum that people are generally able to handle is 8 choices, with 5 being about optimum. .

This has been tested to see if people will consistently rank things the same way given more or less options at a time, and people, generally faced with a larger than 8 option ranking survey will make changes even if you issue the second survey immediately after.

I would suggest that you might want to do it as a series of surveys picking the top 2 of 4 groups of 5 and run a final poll of the last 6 for rank. this is most likely to generate completed surveys and give you a larger sample group.

</soapbox>

Cool idea! I like not only being able to say what I'd like to see, but also pan stuff that I don't want to see (such as the shadow Crimson Guard... I am totally over that mold.)

I filled out my survey yesterday. When confronted with having to rank everything, I found it surprising to learn how many items I didn't really want.

I agree with Raptor that maybe the survey can eventually be narrowed down to choosing some top contenders. I also think that the zombie/ninja set question should probably be broken down into the sets rather than individual figures in the set. I doubt that we'd see any figures in those sets being sold individually (the zombies might be better candidates, though still unlikely), though I suppose we might see smaller sets (3-4 figures each).

Believe it's ROC Elite Viper body, Shadow Tracker head and Thrasher webgear.

Hmmm, all I'd need is the head then. I think I have the Elite-Viper body.
