I may be required in the near future to seek a new place to live -- smaller and less expensive. This means getting rid of things that I'd really rather not, but... As I suspect many of you know, years ago I customized a large number of ARMOR-BOTS. These were based on various themes I either came up with, seemed logical, or were based on elements within G.I. Joe. They take up a lot of space on some high shelves in my apartment that may be a feature that would not carry over to a new place, as well as on some bookcases that also may not carry over. I don't think I could bring myself to throw them away. I would prefer to sell them, but I am wondering how much interest there would be in them, and there is also the matter of their size making shipping them problematic. Thoughts?

Take pics and post them in the marketplace. You never know... |

yeah I'd say marketplace them, I am always looking for ARAH customs to add to my collection of customs from dudes on JC. If you want to make sure they go to a good home, keep em cheap (cause you know we are cheap on here) and I am sure they'll all find a new place to live and new adventures to go on. |

If some extra cash would come in handy, there's also no shame in ebay- ing them. For all the deserved criticism ebay takes, it's really a great tool in situations like yours. So what if you are paying costs, if you still net more than you otherwise would. |

Interest in anything ARAH has piqued lately, even derived lines like Battle Corps, Street Fighter and Star Brigade. Selling them shoudln't be a problem, selling them all at once might be. |

I third the eBay motion. There's no telling what they might go for, as you never know who's looking. I wouldn't do it until after SDCC, though. Between that and JoeCon, many Joe collectors and enthusiasts will likely be prioritizing the acquisition of exclusives for a few weeks and will therefore have less inclination to spend on customs. You'd be limiting your prospective audience and likely lowering the profit range. |

That would, of course, be a last resort. But there's a degree to which, and I hope it doesn't come down to this, whereby it's smaller place (how much smaller I don't yet know) or homelessness. If I get the chance to photograph some of them, I'll post them somewhere on here, as well. My biggest concern remains the feasibility of shipping them. They're large, awkwardly shaped, and a bit fragile. Don't know if it's something I ought to take to the UPS Store or what. |

I may have missed them... |

I can't find them in the Yojoe customs section. Or the customs section for that matter. How easily will the antenna & arms come off? If the arms dont rotate straight down, poping them and the antenna off would be the best bet to fit it into a smaller-ish box If I had the money, I'd be down for the Dreadnok one, but noones buying my junk so Im strapped myself. I never got one, but I got Hawk, somehow. I was just kiddin' before, but I really can't find them in the biovac archive... |
