Ebay seller Viperskingdom has listed a new bunch of Retaliation figures that I don't remember seeing during Toyfair.

They Joes are listed as Ninja Tactical Team while the Cobras are listed as Insertion Team. Although they are all listed individually it does make me wonder if they were/are some sort of multi-pack. Either way these are awesome. Reuse of the cool parachute. Not a flat put loser in the bunch.

yup I am going with Pluv on the multipack idea. I hope they aren't store exclusives.

Mouse and Airborne were slated to be part of the second wave of Joe 3-packs, this is the first pictures of them. I don't remember if Snake Eyes was the third figure in the set or not but I'm assuming now he was.

EDIT yup, he was

So we finally see some figures that are more or less movie accurate! Mouse's gear looks spot on to what we've seen in the trailers, aside from being blue. Airborne is using Data Viper parts. I'm pretty sure a good chunk of him is new and his head is the missing alternate head from Renegades Law. That Firefly, I think he's using a new upper body. At the very least, I don't recognize it, and I don't think it's the single-pack version repainted either. Regardless, that's the firefly that should've been in the single card, not the neon monstrosity with the light-up arms.

This gives me hope that the later figures WILL be movie accurate, or at least more-so.

Snake Eyes is using the harness from the cancelled PoC wave 1 Storm Shadow, so hopefully that tooling will finally get an official release next March.

That Firefly does look to be the best 80s-styled version yet!

I kind of like those, I can do without another Snake Eyes, but a new character like Mouse is always appreciated.

So if Roadblock is the ultimate ninja commando leader of the team and Airborne and Mouse are on the ninja tactical team...is there anyone left on the Joe team that isn't a ninja in the movie?

Ninja doesn't mean what it used to.

These are pretty awesome, though I'm a bit perplexed. Everyone seems to act like its some big boon to get that Data Viper body, but it seems pretty blahgeneric to me. And I will happy take any unwanted Storm Shadows from that last set.

Send me all of the RoC SS legs, and we can be friends. For a time.

For me the biggest draw of the Data-Viper were his accessories (that funky helmet, remote Predator drone, crazy radar dish backpack) so I'm not necessarily head over heels about the body being used, but if the tooling exists for the body, perhaps we could get the accessories down the line...
