A buddy of mine and I were talking about how the Star Wars lines has the troop builder packs of Clone Troopers and Storm Troopers and thought that G.I.*JOE should do this too in packs of five to six troops. Now, thinks to keep in mind, would this be exclusive to one source like the Noks/Maruaders packs? Think in Hasbro terms of ease and cost as well, while it would be cool to have several of the Vipers that haven't been brought into the ME made, can they be made with existing molds? Would the pack be all one type of troop builder or a "variety pack" like the Defense of Cobra Island pack. The other thing is take into consideration the Noks pack, these were all previously use molds with new heads and gear, so if Hasbro were to do something like this, we might get at least that much.

If the pack is be a single type of troop builder, Crimson Shadow Guard is a cinch, take the Fred series CGs (best helmets) and paint them black, rather than Fred heads, just give them masked trooper heads

But I'd honestly like to see a variety pack with a PoC Viper, PoC Trooper, a CG, Shadow Guard, Hazard Viper and Techno Viper or something along those lines.
I'd even go soefar asto say cut back on the gear for these guys too, maybe just a rifle and pistol for the trooper instead of the whole load out the single card version comes with.

I'd think a price point of $35 or $40 for a something along those lines would be reasonable too. Seven figures at $5 or $6 apiece might be appealing to parents looking to by a set for their kids and geeks like us would be all over these things. The only reason I'd like these to be an internet exclusive is so a limit of say two per household per day could be put on it so all those @#$%%&&**)*^$#%^*))_**^$#%&&**()_(^^$##%%^^**(()&&%##%%**))_)&&$#$$%&&&*%%$%^$%#%^&*(__*&%$ scalpers can't rip us off.

Who would you add and with what parts?
What would a reasonable price point be?
Would it be a six pack of like figures or a variety pack?
For those of you that can read into these kinds of things, is something you think Hasbro might consider?

Well, they did do the Troop Builder packs (just like the Star Wars ones) with the internet BAT Troop Builders, several years ago. The also did a fairly close thing with the TRU and DTC multipacks as well (Viper Pit, Cobra Infantry, Cobra Night Watch, etc.)

I'd like to see the Crimson Shadow Guard. There's no shortage of Viper color variants they could do just based on what came out during the course of the original line, all the way through to 2006. Admittedly some of these are more interesting than others, but I thought the "Sonic Fighters" Viper was interesting, as was the one with the black helmet, blue visor, black vest, and molded-in blue-and-purple camouflage. Heck, I wouldn't object to some NEW variants on the Battle Android Trooper. The Club's doing one and so is ComiCon. Clearly a versatile mold... :)

The packs that came out during the VvV and DTC days were pretty cool.
Remember how crazy people were about the Blue Shirt 6-packs?
I for one prefer the Night Watch set since the head sculpt looked more like the original one.

If it weren't for some minor problems, the Viper Pit would have been very popular too.

Internet exclusive packs could contain a commander and 5 identical troopers with different kits while a general release probably would have to be 6 different figures because I doubt that parents would understand the need to buy a box set of the same figure.

Remember how popular the MARS set was/is today...

I'd like to see an updated Viper Pit pack with the modern Viper figure.

I'd be interested in a Viper pack if it had the brown/gold color scheme used with the sonic blasters(?) and the green/gray colors from the TRU set.

There was the TRU CG 5-pack plus the Joe trooper 4-pack + Firefly from 25th, I think they were about $25 each.

Those things were awful. I've got several boxes of those things somewhere around here that I never even opened.

The TRU sets were great back in the day though. Other than some lame weapon choices (which is no longer an issue) and some odd figure construction issues they were hard to beat.

You interested in parting with any of those BAT sets?

I just want a single Inferno BAT. v2 BAT is one of my favorite ARAH molds, and I'm a sucker for clear toys.

If I can find where I put them. I spent a couple of minutes today looking where I thought they were and they weren't there which means they're buried in the closet somewhere. Next time I pull boxes out of there I'll try to remember and look for them.

I skipped out on several of the TRU sets mosltly due to lame weapons choices, seemingly random selected codenames, and weird coloration on the skin of figures like Stalker and Tunnel Rat.
My favorite set was the Python Patrol, and really regret not getting a half dozen of those when I had the chance.
