http://www.yojoe.com/action/ Thumbnails galore, and carded, cardbacks, and filecards all on the figure page. Vehicles got the overhaul too. Added book reference section too. |

It's a fantastic update. I've always liked yojoe's whobit feature, and this is like that, but better. |

I'm still seeing the old format. Is there some link, or other page? |

It might take a while before everyone sees the new archive based on what I've found out from Terry, DNS propagation nerdy stuff. |

I like the new format, especially on the figure versions window at the bottom, scrolling over the version number gives you a preview of that figure. pretty neat. |

I like it too. I didn't know about the rolling over the other figure versions and getting a preview. That'll make trying to ID a figure a whole heckuva lot easier, especially the guys like Snake Eyes or Cobra Commander who not only have a lot of versions, but who have several versions that look alike. Seems to still be a few glitches, like SE v1's gear is in code, not thumbnails. My other resource has always been halfbattle.com, as he has every figure on the same page so it made things easy for comparison, but he hasn't updated in a while and in order to find a specific character, you have to know the year the first version of that character was released. |

At the bottom you can click on 'Grid View' and it will show every version of the character. Also there is a 'prev|next' at the right top of the page that goes to the next version of the character. |

I'm glad the filecard info is on the same page as the figure. And all of the thumbs are sweet too, just pity to foo that ain't got high speed access. I do wish whoever is in charge of naming these would streamline the versions. For example, there are 19 figures of Scarlett but V14 is the latest version of "Scarlett" and there are 4 versions of "Agent Scarlett" that are all based on the same character. And then Breaker has 6 figures but V1 through 3 are Alvin Kibbey, V5 is "Cpl. Breaker" who is Alvin Kibbey, and the last version is Abel Shaz who is a different character but shares a codename. Maybe its just me but it seems confusing. |

It is confusing, but that's how Hasbro released them unfortunately... |

No, YoJoe! invented the numbering system back in 1997 when there was no naming convention in the hobby. It was logical to do it by year (series) then by version of the character. 99.9% of the collectors identify figures by the character name, so we have the characters grouped together. Alvin Kirby "Breaker" is the same character as Breaker v1.5 or whatever. But we also note how many times the names are listed by Hasbro as they change things up so much it's impossible for any sane person to keep track of this stuff. This is why you have a Hawk v1, Hawk v2, General Hawk v1, General Hawk v3, General Tomahawk v1 - all figures are the same character though. It is confusing but it's the best way to clean up the mess left by Hasbro over the past 30+ years. |
