Now that Renegades is on "hiatus" and streaming on Netflix, some fans are getting around to finally watching it. It isn't perfect. Not by a long shot. But its early cancellation was premature and prevented it from being what I think a lot of fans would have really enjoyed. So I'm asking everyone who liked the show, what was your favorite episode/character.

For me the Airtight/Dr. Venom episode was my favorite episode. Well paced. Good characterizations. And it added to the overall story.

Favorite character would be Dr. Mindbender. I've said it before but let me say it again, he was the perfect heel. I hated everything about him. I hated his attitude. I hated the changes they made to his character design. I just hated him. But it worked so well for that character. You are supposed to hate him.

My favorite cameo was Ralph Pulaski aka Steeler.

My favorite core Joe was Tunnel Rat, favorite Cobra was Bludd.

My favorite episode was a tie between the one where Zartan is transformed and the Christmas one.

I really like this incarnation of GI Joe.
A small team with a specialist guest star once in a while. A very fun formula.
Sure the A-Team theme might seem easy, but it worked and pushed the characters towards their adventures while they're on the run. A theme that's actually the center of the upcoming movie and the current IDW comic line.

I really hope we'll get more seasons and toys based on the show.

I'm wondering since Destro & the Baroness was in there, hows come no figures ?

Renegades is still running on the HUB.

Random thoughts:

I was pleasantly surprised by Renegades. It felt less like a cartoon aimed at children and more like a half hour drama.

Was disappointed there was no Destro or Baroness figure. Especially Destro.

Renegades Dr. Mindbender was just Topher from Joss Whedon's Dollhouse. Which I didn't mind at all. Old ARAH stuff was very recognizable stuff culled from war, spy, and sci-fi movies popular with its demographic, so why not now?

Glad we are getting at least Renegades Zartan in the movie line.

A lot of people drew comparisons with Transformers Animated's Henry Masterson...

But really he's just another "young mad scientist" archetype that's been around recently.
It's a nice variation from the much older "Viktor Von Frankenstein-type old mad scientist" archetype, replacing eccentricity with outright arrogance.

Renegades is a great show. I really like the added characterization of characters like SnowJob, he's basically the exact same character with a bit of depth added to him.

all the fan nods are great, and thats pretty cool of them, but it is the overall story that I really like.

Renegades Cobra is my default Cobra. They are handled almost exactly the way i would handle them. It is really too bad Hasbro didn't stick with it. It'd be nice if they were making the next couple of seasons now for release after the new Joe movie.

Been watching it for the first time on Netflix. Just got through the half-way point or so, the Christmas episode. I'm actually pretty impressed, it's a lot better than I thought it would be. I think the way it handles COBRA is its strongest part.

Biggest complaint is that it, like every other attempt to tackle the franchise, looks like it's already been abandoned. If Hasbro wants the line to catch back on, I think it's going to need a more consistent and constant media presence than the occasional animated reboot between big screen attempts. I'm really okay with them rewriting as much of the characters and history as they want, so long as they'd stick with one of the new continuities for more than a season or so.

Half-way through, Renegades seems like as good a reboot as any... especially if the A-Team format of season one could give way to an actual Joe team being established in season two, going back to pick up all the cameo Joes etc.

I just finished it on Netflix, and I freaking LOVED it. Sure there were a few misfires, mainly Firefly, but overall, I loved it. I loved how they tweaked the SE/SS situation to make it something fresh and interesting, and it made me like both of those characters again. Same with Destro, I got tired of him a loooong time ago, but Renegades made me take a new look at the character.

And I love Scarlett outranking Duke.

I haven't been able to finish the series yet. I just finished the episode where they rescued Patient X. I will say that my favorite character so far is a tie between Roadblock and Airtight. My favorite episode is the one with Snow Job, though.

I'm really happy for you ARAH fans that you got a 25th Airtight, but I would have LOVED to get a toy version of the cartoon Airtight.

Hopefully I'll get to finish it this weekend!

As everyone probably knows by now, I love and embrace G.I. Joe: Renegades with every fiber of my being. It might be illegal in some states.

The writing was simply fantastic. They found a way to take a military theme and write it in a way that kids will understand an appreciate. They revitalized characters in very interesting ways, and managed to take the whole Snake Eyes/Storm Shadow dynamic and reinvent it in a great way.

. It created such a great and conflicted character, and I think really explored Storm Shadow in a way that the old Marvel Comic didn't even do. Unfortunately simply because of the design of his overly large mask, many fans pushed him aside without any consideration for the character itself, which is a shame.

Scarlett outranking Duke was another great new team dynamic, and I really enjoyed both Snow Job and Airtight. The very fact that they brought Dr. Venom into it was amazing as well. There was just so much potential and the most frustrating thing is they did all of this terrific set up with Cobra, the Joes, the Crimson Twins, the Iron Grenadiers, the Arashikage Ninjas, and Zartan... but then there was just no payoff. The series ended right when the G.I. Joe team was officially formed. How screwed up is that?

I have a lot of favorite episodes... the Homecoming 2-Parter was a definite highlight, and I loved Castle Destro as well. The 2-Part "Revelations" finale was astoundingly awesome, but that awesomeness was tempered by the fact that it was the final set of episodes and left a sour taste in my mouth. As a season finale, it was pretty much perfect. Lots of action, a real sense of dramatic energy, and absolutely the culmination of the entire season. Great pay off in that one 2-parter.

Renegades was awesome. Some of the best Joe-related entertainment I've seen that managed to take the property seriously, yet still manage to appeal to the family audience. It's abandonment is a damn shame, and let's hope Retaliation kicks enough ass to get something else in the pipeline.

Oh, I forgot about that. The whole Flint/Duke rivalry was awesome. I would also love a Flint figure, if I'm dreaming.

You know what character the series saved for me? Heavy Duty. They took the recent Roadblock clone-ness of the character and reinvented that relationship. I thought it was brilliant. The writers were able to acknowledge their similarities, but also clearly show how different they are in a way that gave me new found respect for Heavy Duty.

Yup, for me too the Heavy Duty guest spot really worked. I liked everything about it. That's pretty much how he exists in my head and 'verse now.

Definitely. I loved his inclusion.

That entire episode was fantastic. Bludd was a credible threat and .
