I was at TRU today (snagged an Avengers movie Loki figure, yay) and saw a few new items in the True Heroes aisle. One was the Chap Mei amphibious vehicle that's shown up on the TRU website, another was a new large item at the 40+ pricepoint like the Herculaes and Rocket Hauler. But the only new part of it I saw was a helipad with integrated lights and sounds. Everything else in the set was repacked from other sets.

But I also saw a rescue repaint of the PTE Blackhawk (the updated one with the sliding windows).

The figures are just repaints of the weird military figures that came with the black version at TRU. The 5 poa figures that are smaller than most of their stuff. The drop cage is new, though nothing special, and I think the winch may be too. Anyway, I thought it was a pretty cool repaint and they didn't load it up with goofy stickers like the black version has.

I saw this last weekend. It is a GREAT repaint and if I had the room for it I'd have it on my shelf for sure.

Now if PTE would just repaint the rocket 'copter in Coast Guard colors... :shifty:

Looks like that might make a decent fill-in for the rescue helicopter at the end of L4D's No Mercy campaign.

It is not PTE.
TRU doesn't use them anymore.
It is some other company.

Yeah, that's neat.

Saw the helicopter pad set and was like "$40 for a small copter, heli-pad and something else." No, thanks.

As a repaint with a few additions it is a great idea. I wouldn't run out and get one but I certainly wouldn't turn one down either. I totally agree with you though, they need to use the rocket helo aka Coast Guard chopper. Even in these colors I think it would be really cool.

It might be motomax. They make the Apache and F22 too. I just finished repainting and chopping the seats on my Apache.

If it's not PTE they're using the PTE mold. It's identical as far as I can tell.

No, it is a different company. I think ogre_h is right that it is motomax. I know because someone pointed it out to me too that it actually has a few differences than the PTE model. In hand they feel the same though. As you pointed out the windows are a bit different and there was a spot for a gun or something.

I'm really looking forward to this one. A Lifeline, Lift-Ticket or Wild bill in similar colors, plus Nova's painted test shot Stretcher would really fill piece out nicely.

And yes, you guys are right, it is Motomax. I have a nice die cast 1/18th hummer that they did from several years ago.
