Work has gone pear shaped this week, so it doesn't look like I'll be able to do much actual customizing for the Custom Celebration. Which is a bummer, since I actually had some inspiration and ideas. Hopefully that will still be waiting for me when work slows down a bit. Anyway, I thought I ought to do something for the Celebration, so I figured I'd share something that's given me a lot of custom inspiration (even if I haven't really acted on much of it yet); foreign filecards. I love 'em, and thanks to my return to school and the boredom that inspired, I have a big pile of them translated. I've been meaning to share them for awhile, and now's as good a time as any. I plan on doing one a day for the duration of the Celebration (mods, feel free to move this to that forum if you think it ought to be) and may just keep on doing them until I've burned through my supply. I know I haven't done them all, but if anyone has any requests, let me know and I'll see what I can do. And these are just rough translations using Google, so if anyone has better ones, or can correct the rough spots in the ones I have, please share. Enough rambling . . .

Master Prey
Scientist cruel and insensitive, "Master Prey" put their knowledge and southern birds of prey in the service of evil. He has total dominion over them. Causes of vultures, hawks and eagles to ma Cadora sinister and Air Force which has been reported.
The twisted mind of "Master Prey" invented a hypno apinolho who can keep the birds of prey under his absolute control. He attacks with thousands of sharp talons and beaks threatened in a blink of an eye!
This is why I love foreign filecards. You can tell that they saw they had a guy with a pet vulture and decided to work backward from that. A lot of the South American filecards are like this, and it's pretty much what we do when we repurpose the umpteenth version of some character or another as someone else. Only the foreign filecards are usually a lot more insane. Master Prey here actually reminds me of the Sunbow episode, Cobras Creatures, and I gotta say, this explanation for Voltar's vulture makes a lot more sense than him just carrying one around for fun. It also gives his weird boom box of a backpack more of a purpose too, now it's a bird hypnotism machine. Tippi Hedren beware!
