Location: Rite Aid
Normal Price: $7.99
Clearance Price: $1.99
Image

For only $2, you get a 1:18 Motorcycle, 3 3/4" action figure, and a bunch of accessories!
Image

It's a suitcase!
Image

Lots of accessories!
Image

I used a nail clipper and razor to carefully remove the accessories.
Image

Perfect for GI JOEs and other 3 3/4" figures!
Image

In this day and age, action figures have articulation. These Chap Mei figures have bad articulation so in other words, they suck!
Image

Wheels roll smoothly. Retractable kickstand.
Image

Nice detailing.
Image

No foot rests unfortunately.
Image

Notice how only one side of the engine is painted.
Image

The figure can only hold one handlebar.
Image

Motorcycle size comparison with GI JOEs.
Image

Vintage figures such as Law make a great fit. But I will say that the handlebars are thick so be careful.
Image

25th anniversary figures such as Breaker make a fantastic fit.
Image

I never in a billion years would have paid $8 for this set. But since it was on sale for only $2, I made sure I picked up at least one. Highly recommended if you can get it for $2.

I don't know about those Chap Mei accessories being perfect for Joes. They honestly seem much more in scale with 6 inch figures to me.

Any of those I've gotten get set aside to trade or donated. Over sized accessories don't cut it and actually detract from the purchase. You gotta factor in the time and effort to get rid of the stuff you can't even use.

You factor in time and effort to get rid of that stuff you can't use? Really?! Because all that sounds like total BS.

For a $2 purchase? Really, um I think most highly definitely not! It's only $2. If $2 is too much for you or you don't like it, don't buy it then and save yourself the "headache".

BS? You can call it what you you want to call it.

I stated my view. I'm not gonna get into an argument with you about it. Yes, I do factor is the stuff I can't use. It takes up space I can use for other things.

It's not really a deal if you are still paying $2 for junk. Junk is junk, no matter what the cost is.

If I can't use it, I don't buy it. That's a pretty simple philosophy.

Everyone has an opinion. As we all know, one man's junk is another man's treasure. Let's all play nice and agree to disagree about things, especially toys.

I'll add an alternative for over sized weapons. What I have done before is used them on vehicle customs. I cut all the handles and stuff like that off and make it look like a mounted weapon on the vehicle. It's usually not over sized looking after that. Trouble is I have so many Chap Mei weapons that I tend to chunk some in the trash when I get new vehicles. No use is offering them up when they're easy to get and most people don't want them. No real time invested either to throw them away.

Just figured I'd throw that in there for the extra option...

I've done that a few times in the past as well, but I do have to state that I am of the opinion that Chap Mei accessories suck for the most part. I cannot even give them away in most cases (unless they are swords and the like) and have thrown out literally HUNDREDS of them over the years.

The figures are about the same. I just threw out close to 60 of them, but not before harvesting their heads (when usable) and some of the removable elements (belts, pouches, etc.). Even my young nephew didn't want them before I took them apart LOL

When I said "I don't buy it" I wasn't referring to the purchase. I was referring to your remark about factoring in the time and effort to get rid of stuff you can't use. Hence my next statement, "still sounds like BS". So it's not checkmate. You need to pay more attention to what you read or get reading glasses.

Hey J_Man, I'll gladly trade for the Chap Mei weapons. I never tire of those accessories. Please let me know next time so they don't end up in the trash. Anyone else who has Chap Mei weapons, I am willing to trade with you. Thanks. :-P

Gotta echo the Chap Mei accs blow sentiment. They're grossly oversized & look ridiculous with 1:18 figures. The figures are pretty terrible too; the heads aren't even decent fodder half the time. The bike... Meh.

That's my two cents, which is, coincidentally, all this set's worth.
