Thanks to the cmnderinchief for pointing these out on twitter. I like the idea behind them, but I'm curious how the quality is on them.

They look decent... but no guns with the figures? Interesting choice.

They're Canadian. They don't need any guns. Who are they gonna fight?

I thought the same thing, but Marauder Inc. would cover that pretty quickly if the figures were decent. Although I agree for $10 it would be nice if could throw in a rifle.

Considering it's a charity thing for wounded vets, I'm not surprised they don't come with guns. They look okay. I'll probably get a few.

I want that Navy one, at least the head. Love to see that mug looking out over a Russian striped shirt.

I'll likely wait to see what people think who get them. But, I am very tempted - foreign soldiers, small toy company, charity ..... all wins there.

I seriously hope your kidding when you say that.

The current death toll in the Afghanistan war is 158.

As for the toys, I'm still trying to find a vendor that will ship to me. I contacted a guy that was selling them on Kijjij but I haven't heard back from him yet.

In other Canadian toy news, I got some Construx the other day (the military set) from 85 with Canadian maple leaves on each wheel. Did they make Canadian Construx? My vehicles looks strange with US insignia on the panels and Canadian flags on the wheel hubs.

They made Canadian Joes so it wouldn't surprise me if Fisher Price made Canadian Construx.

But the weird thing is the "American Air Force" insignia on the panel parts...Hmm. Maybe it came with both, and the kid just thought both were cool?
