Been scouring the online sites looking to see if the price for Law and Order drops, and the one thing I'm noticing is how the price for the Renegades Ripcord is dropping. One place on Ebay had him for under $6. Any ideas why? I bought this figure the other day, and think he's great. I took off the harnesses, gave him the baseball hat from the SW rebel trooper, and have a decent special forces operative. Not to mention, I now have extra gear to make a generic pilot figure.

What's interesting is I don't see the Renegades CC and Dukes dropping like this. I also bought a Renegades CC figure at the same time, and am highly disappointed with that one.

I have seen literally 25 total renegade CC and Duke in the 4 stores combined I shopped at today. No rip cords. Maybe in their neck of the woods where they are selling from there is an over abundance. Plus, the ripcord looks nothing like the TV show so kids might not recognize him

I know I plan to pass on renegades Ripcord. Just not a version of Ripcord I am interested in is all. He looks ok but that is only part of the reason I would buy a character, but I am passing on a majority of the Renegades figs anyway. Not sure about other people, but that is me.

I just got him today.
I think he makes a fine updated Big Lob.
Or if one prefers you could have him be Hardball.
Plus I am giving his helmet to 25th Ripcord.
I am quite happy none of them look like their animated counterparts.

It's probably because he's the worst Renegades toy, what with having lost his show-accurate vest in favor of recycling Renegades Duke's, and having unpainted hair while the character on the show always had a buzzcut.
It's not bad, it's just disappointing because of Hasbro's cut corners.


And there's the stigma of being a Ripcord who cracks jokes and isn't a boring white guy with red hair.

I'm a big fan of the figure so I don't know.

It's a really good looking figure. Forget the character. So I don't get it, not that I'm complaining. I'm glad to pick up a couple extras for customs- on the cheap.

I'll be saddled with three or so all together. I don't care for the figure from what I've seen, but that may soften in person.

Viper's sending me one of his extras. I really dig the figure. But Ripcord has no part in my verse so I'm not using him as Weems anyway.

I'd expect it's a supply thing... He's in both cases for wave 3 and 4

I really like the base figure. Thinking of making him an updated Stretcher or a bioscience specialist for my growing Resident Evil anti-zombie team. I'm also using Renegades Scarlett's body for the RE team, probably as a base for Rebecca.

I actually like the idea of him being Big Lob... I sort of like the boring "red head" as my version of Ripcord...

I just need him for a Stargate Universe custom. As far as I'm concerned he's just as useful parts-wise as Renegades Duke or RoC Hawk, in an African American sort of way.

All the Renegades figures are custom fodder to me. I'm not leaving any of them as-is straight out of the packages. All of the are being made into other characters with varying degrees of modification.
