I'm sorry but the side by side of 25th style versus original always makes me wonder why I ever liked the old figures. It's like toy versus art. Some do fall short and some originals still hold their own, but over all it's an example why I don't care for the old ones anymore. This figure is one of the best ones to date.

That figure is pretty awesome.

Although I stopped and didn't buy many of them, the Pursuit of Cobra line was a welcomed change with its re-imagining and updates of the character designs.

The detail here is astounding, but ultimately clinging to the lime green of the '86 figure is a nostalgic and bad choice. A little more white to make a paler green or a little black to make it olive drab would have improved this figure so much.

What's amazing is to see how far toys have come. That ARAH version was one of my favorites, and the new one blows it out of the water.

Sorry, but the plug in boot warmers really don't work for me. They're an ugly protrusion on an otherwise awesome figure.

I have to agree. I'll be cutting those off.

Hot damn, that turned out nice. I'm really liking the full face shield helmet, I might have to pick up another 1 to display like that.

FapFapFapFapFapFapFapFapFapFapFapFapFapFap...

This is one of those figs that, no matter how many I already have, I'll buy every one I see out of compulsion. Every Joe fig blows goats in comparison to a SciFi fig.

Was this gotten at retail, online, or as a hook-up?

The figure hasn't been released yet.

Well I need to save up some cash for this one as well as lifeline, air tight and Law and Order (The renegade version is surprisingly cool)

IDK where I saw it, a comic, fan fic or the toon but someone once wrote about how Sci Fi has to sit perfectly still while being fired on, and that translated into his marksmanship ability I have always seen him as a designated marksman who just so happens to be an authority on lazer guidance systems - he, like mainframe is a BA Geek,

You took the words right out of my mouth. If they had given us this fig in olive drab instead of neon, I would have gotten one. As is, I really don't need one, since this same design has been sitting on my shelf for 30 years.

I wish instead of slavishly copying the old figures, we would instead get some cool updates, as with PoC. But I know there are plenty of fans who want the same designs. So.... wouldn't it be cool if Hasbro put out each of the 30th figs in 50/50 mix of: half of them would be like this Sci-Fi, same coloring as the original. The other half would be more sensible, realistic colors, like this Sci-Fi in military green. I wish they would have done that with Steel Brigade, so we could have gotten him in a color other than that stupid baby blue nonsense, and those who prefer the old blue look could have gotten him that way. And since its a 50/50 mix, these would not be 'variants' harder to find than a regular release.

Wow, that is a figure that is MADE by its accessories. Without all of its gear, hideous. With gear, super awesome.
