Wow! I do really like the Snake Eyes legs! Too bad there isn't much detailing painted.

I liked the ShockTrooper torso better for this fig.
Although honestly I never got the idea of a Steel Brigade (other than a clever marketing ploy by H so that you could join the joes)
I mean GI Joe is supposed to e a special forces team. Their troops should be the regular services, army navy etc.

A step down imo. The Shocktrooper body works much better than SE for Steel Brigade.

The Snake Eyes torso makes more sense, since the collar and the masked head matches more than the Shock Trooper torso.

I grabbed one of these two nights ago. I like the stalker legs, but I wish it would have come with the accessories for the legs. no knife and no pistol. That and he has knees like he just got chop blocked. The fig overall is pretty nice. A good generic trooper. And the helmet has a lot of extra space so you can put it on some more of the non-bald/skimask figs. The rocket launcher is pretty sweet as well. I like mini missiles.

Switching to the SE legs without including the accessories seems kind of cheap. I like the change of the arms to the sweater style, (matches the torso, now) but I wish they would have kept the Shock Trooper legs.

The torso has always been SE, no change there. The arms make more sense now with the sweater style. I like the look of SE the legs as well, but I hate the feet. The soles are curved and the figure can't stand without a stand. I also like the idea of variants in body construction for this figure. It's a nice homage to the original (Although it's probably not intentional on Hasbro's part). If I can find it, I'll definitely pick up a few.

Those SE/Stalker legs in tan make it even more obvious how much better that mold would have worked for the Club FSS tan Grunt. I wonder if the exact shade of tan on this SB variant and of Grunt will match...

Interesting. I like the extra splash of color that the darker blue on the first version gives, but the full sweater look is good too. Not sure if it's enough to make me get more than the 5 I have now but maybe I'll get a few. Oh Hasbro you know how to separate me from my $$ don't you!

So you think they needed the Shock Trooper legs for the movie line? It isn't like the SB figures aren't selling so there isn't a real need to make the running change unless they had to. Also, they used the color for the missiles on the holster and sheath instead. :D

I'm kind of torn between thinking "cool, a variant," and thinking,"more !@#$ Snake Eyes 54."

Has anyone established how these are shipping? I'm guessing they are shipping in a revised wave 1 case, since the Steel Brigade troopers are not included in the wave 2 case.

I think I'll wait for Hasbro to put it out with the accessories & missing paint apps. Until then 1st version looks better.

It looks like the missiles are different as well. Not just brown VS black but a different mold entirely.
