Meh.

Head looks good but there's nothing else impressive about this one.

How difficult would rolled up sleeves and boots have been?

And no launcher?

Not making the decision to subscribe any easier.

Didn't they have rolled up sleeves for Cobra Disguise Flint?

The head sculpt is interesting.
But why the huge life-presever. Hasn't any of Hasbro's designers seen the new streamlined life-vests.
They're gonna have to do more to get me to cough up a subscription.

it's very retro!

this Topside looks 20 years outdated, the 1990 figure was more modern looking, sweat pants and all.

Wow, I totally freaking called it, just a Shipwreck with a different head.

The only positive is the head bears a ressemblance to Chuck Norris.

At least they are nice enough to show the product in advance, so that the customizers can make their own at a fraction of the cost. Especially true since the Quarrel they showed before had already been done and published by (as a conservative estimate) 1200-1300 other customizers since 2007.

I liked it!

And then I saw the original had a more "modern" vest. Not terrible, but a new vest would really have made the figure.

Ah well, I'll potentially use the head for Roadblock and the body for Shipwreck when he's on the TTBP (my default Shipwreck is the ROC one).

The only one that would be harder to do is the Nano BAT. Of course it can be painted lime green to make it sort of like this one, but the clear plastic would have to be cast to get the same look. Beyond that, everything else is customizable.

I had made a post on their Facebook page about the price. I was told what we've already heard. The price will be below $25. They said they are trying hard to get as far below that as possible. So maybe that's the main reason they haven't given the price is for a change they are aware that an outlandish price will result in a low selling point.

See, now, if the price came in closer to $10 per (no chance) I could see paying that for this figure and Quarrel. Saves me the trouble of painting parts. But at closer to $20? Easy pass.
