My TRU had the ninja 3 packs out today. No single carded movie figs yet though. Was mildly impressed with both sets, so I nabbed them.

I was also surprised to find Dark Knight Rises and Amazing Spiderman figs out. DKR was mostly a bunch of TDK figs recolored, but the main batman fig has a cool grapple gun. The only non batman figure was Bane. He sucks, but I nabbed him for future possible bashing.

The movie Spidey figs were no worse than the DKR figs, but just seemed suckier, based on being able to walk one aisle over and find fully articulated Spidey figs in the MU section

I saw these today, too. I would have walked right past them, but one of the packages was lying on the floor. Did you buy a single-packed Bane, or did you have to get one of those three-packs with all the extraneous crap? It probably won't come as a huge surprise to hear that these figures are awful-looking. Further proof that someone in Mattel's upper echelons of management had an emotionally scarring encounter with a 3 3/4" action figure at some point in his or her childhood.

My TRU only had the repainted Batman.

Bane was single carded, luckily.

At least I know what parts of the Batman figs I can use for customs, and I was needing to go digging one of those up from the past movie at some point anyway, so buying one of those I kind of liked. I kind of bought Bane against my better judgment.

Got any comparison pics of Bane with a Joe?

Doesn't surprise me all that much. G.I. Joe, Batman, and Spider-Man are the remaining big three summer movies that are going to have serious toy tie-ins besides Avengers, which I also hope continues. Might as well make space and get 'em all out at once.

Usually I HATE the summer movie toy season since there's generally not that much I'm interested in, and it puts a nasty dent in the "ongoing" lines that aren't reliant on movies. This year, between Avengers, G.I. Joe, and I'll at least have a look at Batman and Spidey, bit different, although it's still doing no favors to the ongoings. I don't expect the new DC All-Stars line to turn up anytime soon, or any new faces in Marvel Universe. Heck, I'm even concerned about Star Wars for a while.

Who's in the Joe three-pack?

Just saw the DKR armored batpod thing. Looks to be a good scale for Joes, and with all the added bits up top it could pass off as a modern LCV Recon Sled.

The Batman figure kinda stinks, though.

I'll get a pic of the Bane figure with a Joe tonight, now that I gave him to my son and he's out of the package.

The 3-packs of Joes had (in no particular order) Roadblock (with the camo on the flesh) Snake Eyes, Kamakura, Storm Shadow, a Red Ninja, and Beachhead.

Some of these have already been parted out for customs, so no complete pics, but I might have a couple I can take that are helpful

Here's Bane, with a Joe. Really is a crap figure. Luckily my son likes him.

And also I found the only Spidey from the Spidey movie that interested me - the Ultimate Poseability version. Lastly, grabbed a movie Lizard. He's crap for the Lizard, but has some potential as a random monster, or even a Visitor.

I am impressed with the articulation on Spidey, but I'm proud to say I still like mine the best:

EDIT: Oh yeah, the Spidey has the crappy movie hips (better than the T-crotch on the non articulated Spidey figs) but NOT the much improved Avengers hips.

Thanks for the pics! I like that head on Bane. Any plans to salvage it for one of your customs?

Also, thanks for the heads up on the "super" poseable movie spider-man. I'll keep my eye out for that.

I want that Lizard! I have seen the movie Spidey figs 3 times since Friday and he's always the only figure missing :(

Yeah, I actually saw some Banes on Saturday. Not that one, some brown ones one with that "put the box on and he'll wear the armor" gatling guns one, and a regular no-accessories single that in all fairness at least cost a significant chunk less than a Joe or an MU figure. Where'd the green one come from?

Anywho, I was saddened by its scale. I wanted to use the head on a Night Adder-type muscular body, but at that size the result will be depressingly pea-headed. :(

Target has an exclusive five pack which comes with Batman (just like the one from the last movie line), Bane, who sucks, Bruce Wayne, ninja, Night Vision Batman which has a semi Batman Beyond vibe, and Catwoman, who looks good, or would if not for the 5 points of articulation.
