For those who complained about the loss of PoA on the Avengers figures and the upcoming Joes, I give you the Dark Knight Rises line :

http://i.toynewsi.com/g/index.php?mode= ... 00&start=0

7 PoA of pure bleh and apparently, the only black suited Batman is molded on his bike.
Bravo Mattel, bravo. Rotating shoulders and hips, articulated knees and a ball jointed head.
Bane doesn't seem to sport the knee articulation that the Bats have.
Looks like the stole the construction book from Remco.

Mattel hates the 1:18th scale, I don't know why they even bother.

Seven? Try FIVE on Bane.

Wow.
It's like Mattel is completely unaware that poor sales on their more poseable DCIH offerings were caused by piss-poor distribution, and they just figured "Eh, people won't buy stuff for articulation anyway, so why bother?".
Either that, or they wanted to keep things consistent with the TDK 4" line which had a similar range of articulation.
I might get BINO for possible Joe custom fodder but otherwise, meh.

EDIT:
http://i.toynewsi.com/g/index.php?mode= ... DKR_Mattel
This album shows the standard black Batman 4" figure, as well as show us how the launching Batman gimmick of that Bat-thingiethat'sevenlessaplanethanBurton'sBatwing thing works.

Happy Meal toys! Detail even sucks on them. Looks like old 70s toys again. I swear that's what toy companies seem to want to do is try and make collectors stop buying. I know I'll pass. Maybe pick up a BatCycle if that.

Hope Wal-Mart and Target will be able to finish clearing out the rest of those Green Lantern figures before these turds roll out. It's going to be the summer of crappy super hero figures.

They look dumb now, but I will probably really enjoy them when I find them for two bucks like the GL figures.

I really hope that Batpod doesn't have a permanently attached figure because that is just epic fail.

If the figure doesn't come off, it can be made to. The legs and arms look like they aren't attached, and there looks to be a clip around the waist of the figure. Which means the main issue will be that huge clip holding a figure on and looking horrible without a figure.

That Bane might look cool if I could bash the upper body onto a Dreadnok type body.

Dear Mattel,

Can you please explain what the 'action feature' is on an 'action figure' that is essentially a static statue?
