Honestly, this is exactly how I thought a live action GIJoe movie would look. So glad I was wrong.

I know that wasn't the only live action commercial G.I.*JOE had. Those commercials started the rumor way back then that a live action G.I.*JOE movie was in the works, or at least a TV show. Sorta had Power Rangers feel to it. At least those guys looked more like their figure counterparts, and were more easily identifiable.

Actually, that's Frostbite.

Why'd they let an Air Force guy "Ace" fight on the ground? LOL.

Battle Corps Frostbite didn't have a big furry hood or goggles, he had a hockey mask. Snow Job, however, had the furry hood and goggles.

As for why Ace fought on the ground, well... Air Force isn't all about planes.
If it were, we wouldn't have Stargate SG-1. Because they're all Air Force in there.

They showed the multi-part commercial series at the 'Con this past Summer. Hearing what went into making them, it was actually pretty impressive, because they were filmed to really be a mini-movie.

Yeah, either they weren't going for toy accuracy or some things changed. But that is definitely Frostbite from the other commercials

Here's an interview on the guy who played Duke in the production of these commercials posted on YoJoe.com. It's 3 pages long.

Much of the campy costumes I can blow off as budget and technological limitations but why does CC's hood fan out like a rigid clowns cowl instead of being limp cloth?

Indeed. In spite of Frostbite looking like Snow Job, this was indeed so much awesome packed into a single minute.
