Post subject:  O-Ring Question

Okay, I've picked up a few "newsculpt" era Joes here and there, and a couple of recent ones feel like they could use replacement O-Rings.

Now, I have a generous supply of replacement O-Rings here, but they're intended for ARAH-style Joes. And I've heard, accurate or not, that the newsculpts used a different size of O-Ring? Probably because of the longer legs and, especially, shorter torsos.

So, accurate? Or can I use the O-Rings I have here on these newsculpts effectively?

What you don't want though is an older o-ring on the new sculpt figures. You know, the o-rings that have that tear drop shape to them and an indent from the t-hook. While they will work, being stretched out will make the new sculpt figure a little loser than you will probably like it to be.

I found that replacing the newsculpt figures' o-ring with the RAH larger sized o-rings make them a bit more playable. But like pluv said, use a new one not a recycled one. The newer o-rings are a bit too small and give the figures a hunched appearance.

Yeah, I wouldn't use an older and clearly "used condition" O-Ring on ANY Joes, really. When they assume that "teardrop" shape and don't snap back from it, they're probably getting close to breaking anyway. Fortunately I bought a bagful of new O-Rings a while back. Just never had to switch out a newsculpt before.
