I love this website, it takes me back to eagerly perusing the pages for Joes and Star Wars and hotwheels and more

It is especcialy fitting with the D&J Cobra base project (http://djtoys.muchtobuy.com/cobra_base.html) from our very own J_Man.

Wow, remote-controlled tank and jeep compatible with GIJoes? That's pretty spiffy!

I used to have a jeep similar to that one only it had a molded driver and no remote. You'd basically turn it on,and it would go forward until it bumped into something and then go backwards. It drove our dog crazy.

Not only do I remember that page specifically, but I remember how desperately I wanted the RC tank and jeep. Thanks for that awesome bit of nostalgia...and maybe I'll look them up on ebay and buy them now anyway, since as an adult I can make decisions like this on my own now...wait...never mind. I'm married...

Yup, I asked for the tank because I thought it would be soooo cool. What I got was a 'remote controlled' tank that was 1:18 but wouldn't actually hold figures. It wasn't radio controlled, instead having a tethering cable to a controller that looked like a walkie-talkie. It went forward, backward, left, right, the turret rotated, and the barrel raised and lowered. Plus it launched darts. It was actually pretty neat, but wouldn't hold figures. Then grandpa cut one of the hatches off and a Joe fit in. I was a happy camper.
Seeing this ad just brought this all back to me. Thanks. :)

I not only remember that ad, but think I scored that jeep back in the day! I had all but forgotten those swiveling roller coaster-style seat restraints. No idea where it is now tho!

Wow. A Skystriker for roughly as much as an alpha vehicle costs today. Inflation is a [LASER BLAST].

That is funny. On the Brazilian version of the Fang, Breaker is driving it!!! I'll try to get some pictures within the week, but my boxed Brazilian vehicles are burried at the moment.

EDIT: Just found a picture of it on Yojoe.com

Skystriker is $17.99.
This is what time machines will be invented for.

I, too, specifically remember that page, staring at it for hours, knowing exactly what I wanted and hoping beyond hope mom might actually break down and get me something G.I.*Joe. She didn't like getting me war toys.
My best bud at the time already had the Skystriker and I thought he had some weird varient becuase the verticle stabilizers on his were white where as the verticle stabilizers in the catalog are black.
Never could figure out what that Missile Command Center was all about at the time.

I was going to post this the other day but never had a chance to find the link:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/wishbook/sets/

It was a post made I think in 2006 here. According to the creation date of the bookmark, it was March 7th. Anyway I wanted to throw it out there again for the newer members that may not know about it or have it bookmarked.
