Very interesting.
I just hope they don't half-ass the repaints/frankenjoes like they did Gung-Ho in that ROC 2-pack.

Is it too much to hope that we get the Training Snake-Eyes and the Iron Klaw that we've seen test shots of in these sets? Also, please don't make me buy another Resolute Cobra Commander. I do hope they toss in the Alley-Vipers though.

Ooooo, I could totally go for Iron Klaw.

What Alley-Vipers are you referring to? That's something I haven't seen or heard of....

Man I really want to get psyched for this. I am currently not psyched. I do really want to be though.

For the Joes I'd like to see Stalker, and dialtone (female) and Spirit... though he isn't too different...

however we probably will get a lot of the resolute stuff that has been released already. So another duke, and Snake eyes. However, there is no reason we shouldn't get Roadblock in his resolute color pallet since he's been shown and can be bought from the "midnight" Chinese sellers, here's hoping we don't also get training Snake eyes in this set.
I mean seriously hasbro wouldn't put out a seven pack with two Snake Eyes... would they? :shifty:

I really hope we get that Scarlett Dream snagged. She's a pretty great looking version of the figure. Also hoping for Resolute Destro there are so many un-produced resolute figures, it'd be a shame I f we did get another duke, Snake eyes, Cobra Commander and Standard Blue trooper.

Man I really want Destros case.

Baroness I'm not too Keene on, I love that body, it really is one of Hasbros better sculpts. But that head is terrible, and I don't care for the skirt thing.

I am concerned about Roadblocks size. I know I know everyone wants him huge but man he might be too huge, almost out of scale.

all links go to generals joes

I don't think I've seen that Scarlett before. Awesome looking figure.

I'm excited about any Resolute figures we get. Great news to me.

I'm thinking if there's two seven packs, we'll get Duke (and as much as I hate him, I can't complain, that figure is awesome), Snake Eyes, Roadblock and that Scarlett. I'd love for them to make up a Stalker. Maybe a Gung Ho with a new head, and everything else basically what it was from the twopack. Man, do I hate that head sculpt. Not sure who the other three will be besides the ones we know exist though.

Cobra side, we'll get a CC, that awesome Destro and the somewhat neat Baroness. Maybe a trooper or two and an Alley Viper redecoed.

The Alley Vipers from the cartoon. They basically looked like up-armored Resolute Troopers and I think they'd be pretty easy to do with minimal new tooling.

I am so excited about this, I would like to start speculation.

Joes set:
Scarlet
Roadblock
Duke
Snake Eyes
Gung Ho
Tunnel Rat
Dial Tone

Cobra Set:
Destro
Baroness
Cobra Commander
Firefly or Zartan (probably Firefly because they can make is so easy)
Resolute Trooper x 3

That Destro is a whole bunch of awesome. I don't have a Destro, but I will when this set comes out. That's about my favorite sculpt of Baroness as well, but what is with the hide her identity eye bar glasses? I'd prolly end up doing like the reviewer and put a different head on her body.
I think Resolute line put out some great figures. The Cobra Commander, Cobra Blue shirts, that Destro and Baroness are my favorite figures of those characters.

I don't know, maybe I'm just too optimistic, but I have a GREAT feeling about these. I mean, they're doing these 7-packs purely for the collectors right? Kind of like the Cobra Island sets? Well, those Cobra Island sets managed to cover a ton of characters and ton of different looks that the collectors were interested in...I've got the same faith in these Resolute sets.

Maybe I shouldn't... but something just tells me that they can do some great figures here, even without too much new tooling.

Time will tell.

Justin

Hawk, I am with you 100%

I think Hasbro is taking a good turn and trying to get us what we want. I like the new sets coming next year. My only complaint and I am sure it is yours is the availability of figures. Hasbro should do a return on all the old ROC figs like they did for Star Wars and Transformers and get some new waves back into stores

Would they really be dumb enough to put out figures we've already gotten like Duke (yeah remember this would be his third Resolute version if they did!), Gung Ho (WM 2-Pack Version already looks close), Snake Eyes (City Strike, Target set...would also be his third version) or Cobra Commander (also his third version)?

I strongly doubt it. I mean, did they do it for the Cobra Island sets? That's the whole point of these collector-friendly online only 7-packs. To focus on a character pack out that appeals to collectors with highly desirable characters and figure designs.

Sure, the Cobra Island packs ended up repeating the Outback and Strato-Viper, but only because the Wave 5 vehicles got "un" cancelled after the fact.

I would be shocked if Hasbro shoe-horned figures like Duke, Snake Eyes, or other Resolute inspired guys that we already have. This isn't something that's gonna have to appeal to Joe and Jane on Wal-Mart shelves. This set is being designed FOR collectors, at least that's the gist that I get.

Justin
