I just got it and went straight to the middle. The 2010 wave 1 is all arctic...polar assault more or less...Zartan though...comes with a trained hawk. We get a Ripcord,Duke,Destro,Snow Job,Elite Ice viper,Storm Shadow (someone wanna tell this guy it's cold outside? Going shirtless is going to catch him a cold)

Anyway, I have never been one for snow figures, due to the fact I hate cold weather...BUT...these are pretty nice.

The interesting thing is the bottom says "The Pursuit of Cobra GI Joe Arctic Threat" I wonder if our next offerings will be themed waves...

Ok Ripcord and Zartan are Desert Battle and Storm Shadow is jungle assault. (he's still gonna catch a cold)

They announced at the Con that next year's theme is "The Pursuit Of Cobra" and it will feature 4 themes: Arctic, Desert, Jungle, and Urban.

So yeah, themed waves.

Don't feel bad, it was new to you!

The Jungle figures especially are AMAZING! Jungle Viper, Shadow Tracker, and Storm Shadow are all 100% win!

And that arctic Destro is the bee's knees. I want a ton of the "ice blast" thingees he comes with! And that frosted helmet is great.

I never thought about it like this until now. It is kind of like Hasbro's take on Operation MOTH. :D

I love the new arctic figures. I just found the base figures for my new arctic army.

And the Club AT helicopter looks awesome! Sure its just a FANG in yellow but with the AT symbols it just looks great. I'm not a huge Adventure Team fan but these I'll get for sure. I just hope they come through with all of the ones they have planned.

The Snow Job and Jungle Ripcord w/ glider pack are the figures I'm most looking forward to, as well as the sniper viper. Looking at the way they are packing the figures with the ROC stuff, it appears to me that Hasbro is trying to make up for the fact that tool reuse is so prevalent by upping the cool on the accesories and paint apps.

At least they're getting the seasons & figure themes right. So glad it's not going to be like past years (ok or this summer lol) and get arctic figures & vehicles (*cough*arctic hiss*cough*) in june/july :D

Hey, I'm just glad we got the Arctic HISS at all, really. Granted, it's not like I have a lot of snow for it anyway, in Arizona.

I got my newsletter in the mail today. VERY impressed with the Adventure Team helicopter. Very cool use of the FANG, and I'm looking forward to the figures, as well, although perhaps not quite as much as I am Big Lob!

Regarding the new toys from Hasbro -- it is just me, or does that glider backpack that Rip Cord comes with look like a robotic buzzard... 8-O

The newsletter also shows two new vehicles, the "Rip Attack" Jet Storm Cycle for G.I.Joe (with Snake-Eyes) and the "Rip Attack" Tiger Snake for Cobra (with Street Viper).

I'm a little concerned that that name "Rip Attack" might mean these vehicles have some zip cord or pull cord effect that lets them go zipping across a floor, but as long as the design of this doesn't otherwise hinder the look of the vehicles, it won't bother me. I DO like the look of the vehicles. The motorcycle is extremely impressive, and the Tiger Snake, while perhaps not as easily categorized vehicularly, is nevertheless a cool vehicle. I like the trooper name "Street Viper", as well.

I'm 99.9% positive these will have the rip-cord action feature, hence the name.
