Wow, those are coming out soon? I still haven't seen any of the Helix wave and the CC wave only twice.

Kamakura is an interesting departure from the norm because judging by the boxart, he's asian instead of the red-haired blue-eyed caucasian Sean Collins.

I also really like how the design flawlessly mixes military gear with ninja gear. Storm Shadow's backpack with the swords and the uzi are the icing on the cake.

Well if he isn't Wades son then that's too bad since the Wade/Fred stories were some o the best, and his kid being Kama was the only new thing DD did that I actually really liked.

Asian Ninjas = Boring, since all ninjas except Snake Eyes and the American ninja are asian.

Well, Wade doesn't exactly exist in this new continuity.

Sorry, American ninjas are more boring for this franchise. In GIJoe, asian ninjas:
Storm Shadow, Jinx, possibly Slice and Dice.

Caucasian ninjas:
Snake-Eyes, Nunchuk, Bushido, TJ'bang, Banzai, Scarlett, Dojo, T'Gin-Zu, Zartan, Firefly, Kamakura, that other girl Snake-Eyes was ninja-ing, Billy....

The other apprentice was Ophelia.

I like how they've used parts from Stormy, Quick-kick along with ROC parts to make this figure. Very cool.
They did something similar with the Red Fang Ninja, using parts from Comic Pack Stormshadow, CP Firefly, and it looks like a Resolute Trooper head among others.

she broke my heart. she shook my confidence daily...

that being said, I dig the combo of military+martial arts on this figure, too. nice color scheme.

Red Fang Ninja uses the standard ROC Cobra body, Resolute Trooper head, CP Storm Shadow chest gear (on backwards, why????), CP Firefly's goggles and some ROC ninja gear.
Kamakura is definitely the more impressive "kitbash".

Not sure what difference it makes in the continuity thing, but a shot of his filecard and info has been seen, and his real name is Sean Collins, and he is mentioned as being a ninja apprentice, for whatever that's worth.

Justin

Hm, guess it's just a creative liberty the package artist took, then.

How can you tell? He's wearing a mask.

A mask that does not cover his eyes or eyebrows.
