Next week Sarge will be the guest host/general manger for Monday Night Raw. I feel like they missed a major opportunity this week to get some synergy going on, they had Tatum showing clips of the movie (nothing new shown) during commercial breaks tonight. How hard would it have been to have Sarge host this week for some Joe synergy?

Apparently they prefered to have Jeremy Piven on to push that alleged comedy "The Goods", which, of course, doesn't even come out until NEXT week. The timing does seem unusual, and for myself, being completely unfamiliar with Jeremy Piven or that strange sidekick of his or whatever, found him completely unfunny.

The Sarge is a pleasant surprise since I was under the impression that the WWE had let him go a while back, but I suppose they could bring him back for one night like this. Whether they'll make any connection to the movie with this is anybody's guess.

What surprised me was the cool reaction of "HBK" to HHH's "phone call". Shawn never made any formal announcement of retirement, he just vanished after WrestleMania. Not sure how they're planning to run that angle, but it doesn't make Shawn look good. :-/

Nah, Shawn will be back at SummerSlam, Trekker. I like to think he was talking to X-Pac hahaha.

I'm excited about the Sarge next week. I think they had let him go a while ago, but guess they want him to come back just for one night. Related news: I've still never seen the Build N Brawl wave of figures with him in it.

According to Jeremy Piven, it's called SummerFest

I caught that, too. You can tell he's a big wrestling fan. I'm suprised he didn't say the main event was John Zima vs. The Biz. What do you expect from a man who played linebacker for Drake University?

Couldnt have been talking to Pac, HHH said to the guy on the phone, " I thought you didnt do Jobs" which we all know that Xpac is the DX/nWo jobber and HBK wouldnt put any one over, ever.

I would love to see a Slaughter vs Vince match over the GI Joe deal from the 80s.

Well, Sarge wasn't bad, although I may never forgive him for letting Jillian sing. Thank God I was quick on the volume control. Obviously the Sarge wasn't too well received in Canada, but I got a kick out of seeing him. Interestingly enough, I think the Sarge's best appearance was his final one, where he came out after the main event, called Orton, Big Show, Cena, and Jericho "maggots" and made what could be a very interesting main event for next week, which is probably a lot more than next week's guest host. Freddie Prinze Jr (?!??!) will do.

On the HBK front -- what the HECK!? Okay, the short order cook bit was reasonably amusing, with a pretty hysterical ending, but which of the WWE's comedy writers even came up with this insane notion in the first place? I know DX tends to be lighter fare than HHH has been acting lately, but -- ooookay.

The fact that HBK kicked that kid was worth all those segments. Why?

WWE surprised me. I never thought they'd have someone purposely kick a kid in the head - even if it was off-screen.

And WTF WWE? Sarge doesn't hate Canadians... WTF was that about?? Raw could of been a ton more fun had he just been good guy Sarge. lame.

Yeah I didn't understand that myself. I'd have booed him too if I were there and I'm not Canadian. Well.... Cajuns I guess are technically French Canadian aren't they? Anyway....

But yeah that was stupid. I almost expected to see the Iron Shiek come out with Sarge in the shiek outfit after the second segment. I felt like WWE was saying "yeah we got rid of you a couple of months ago and now we're going to pull you back to step on your name by making you look like a fool".

I enjoyed heel Sarge. Bringing out Hacksaw in lieu of Bret was classic... can't believe some folks in the crowd actually expected the Hitman to come out. (I would have LOVED it if he was, but I think everyone should know that wasn't happening). The only thing missing from Raw was a Hart Dynasty appearance, I think they would have gotten a hell of a reaction, maybe they could have pushed back on Sarge a little too for the home crowd.
