I can't believe that this guy's getting sold out on online retailers so quickly. Is it the figure or (more likely) the gear that draws you in? Which gear specifically?

I am tempted by the Steel Brigade type helmets, but not enough for 8 bucks a figure. I concede the gas masks are pretty rad, too, but what else?

What are you army building these guys for??

While I have never seen any of these in the stores, and so have never bought any, I personally would like to get as many of those Steel Brigade helmets as I can, to outfit my Impact Armor wearers. Not sure if I am willing to buy that many PCs just for that though... Movie Zartan IS a nice figure, but still...

Since I have the Pit playset/vehicle, they'll be stationed in and around that or any other base. They're part of the MPs that guard stuff for me. If I can get up to 6 of these guys, I'll have them each outfitted differently. I may even get more so I can have a few pairs. It just sucks that Hasbro shut us down on pre-ordering them on HasbroToyShop.

Wasn't planning on army building with them but with the good base to do customs from and all that gear I am tempted to get several of them to make Joe characters with or new characters to expand my GI Joe universe.

The figure itself will just be parts probably. But I do want to do a bunch of Steel Brigade and I can see the body armor being a good starting point for a Long Arm custom. There's enough usefulness there (and it helps that the figure is pretty basic) for me to pick up quite a few of these. Once I find some anyway.

I can see people armybuilding these for green(blue)shirts. Basic grunts in the background to fill in troops. Just headswap and you have different guys.

Count me in as one that is drawn to the Steel Brigade helmets. I only want two, though. I don't have the room or the desire to army build beyond that for any figure.

This is another figure I've yet to see. I'm looking for 2 for body parts and accessories. I'm thinking a custom LT. Falcon and LRRP Snake Eyes. I do have to say they've improved some firearms with the ROC line, but H has a lot to learn from MJ.

Personally I'm just going to use him as ROC Grunt. The do-it-all infantryman, with gear for any situations.

Custom parts. If his arms didn't have lame elbow pads, I'd just use him as is for head swaps.

I'm army building to keep everyone else around me from evening seeing it on the pegs.

Ok, I haven't even seen one yet.

I said I was done troop building after wave 11 of the 25th Joe's, but I will get multiples of the PIT Commando. My Target just restocked with what appeared to be at least 3 cases of wave 3 as their were at least 3 of the whole wave(Flash, Hawk, EEL, Helix, Elite Viper, Flash & PIT Commando). So I was able to add to my total of Commando's which is 4. Also Got Helix, Hawk, & Flash.

In a word: Fodder!

In more words:

1. PC has the Dusty body, which was to expensive/difficult to get doubles of for customs during the 25th run.

2. Steel Brigade/Anti-Venom helmet.

3. Enough gear to equip 3 soldiers. It's like an accessory pack with a bonus figure.

OB
