I've spoken recently that I am getting the reviews rolling again, and it all starts now! Check out the Wave 6 Comic Pack "Flashback" reviews at GeneralsJoes. I'm hoping to cover most of the tail end releases from the Anniversary line as we lead up to the movie stuff, then when the movie stuff hits, I'll continue right along through.

Thanks to everyone for their patience, hopefully I can get back on track with these!

Justin

I remember when these showed up I couldn't wait to get Beachhead and the Snake Eyes/Hard Master pack. The Wild Bill/Scrap Iron pack didn't do anything for me.

Beachhead is my top five 25th style figures. He's that cool. I considered Dataframe or whatever they call him custom fodder, but he's actually not that bad a figure and I've kept him.

The ninja pack hasn't held up as well. The accessories are awesome. But the grey ninja hasn't been touched since I opened the pack. My Hardmaster had most of his soft rubbery silver bits deformed in the package. His knee and ankle are also deformed and no amount of boiling can save it. So he pretty much lays there dead with an arrow in his chest. Cool but not worth it in the end.

I picked up Wild bill for custom fodder for $1. He's worth a dollar. I skipped Scrap Iron because the environment pack did such a good job updating him I'd feel like I was down grading getting him.

The sad part is you can still find all of these packs available on toy shelves along with Cobra Commander/Tripwire packs. I don't know if they were over ordered in abundance or these figures ventured too far out of mainstream for the casual fan to care but they aren't moving.

One thing I must point out about the Snake-Eyes/Hard Master pack:
The sword holder belongs more to Hard Master than to Snake-Eyes. It's meant to hold both swords while in their scabbards.

:shifty: bout time.

Nice reviews as always, I'm glad you did the side by side, because after all these years I never noticed the straps at the waist of Beachhead. I was confused why the 25th version had it, but now I see them on the RAH. Odd the things you never notice.

Hey Hawk, since you're going to be flashbacking, how long before the 2001 NLC gets its own review instead of the Night Rhino's on its page?

Always looked forward to these reviews and the nice shots of the figures as well as the comparison with the vintage counterpart.
Glad to see you back
Keep them coming!
