I hadn't read or heard anything about us getting any variant/chase figures with the Marvel Universe line, but i was at Target this evening and came across this version of the Human Torch that I hadn't seen before.



He's numbered #011 just like the light blue and black one and the back of the card show the wave 1 figures.

Has anyone else seen any other variant MU figures?

From what I understand there was a running change on Human Torch and Spiderman.

Both now have the dark blue and torchy has the white cuffs.

Since both are major pegwarmers and this is how they'll be shipping from now on, I'm not to concerned. . . yet.

There's been more than a few variants so far.

The Punisher Head re-sculpt running change, the classic & modern Ms. Marvels come to mind...also the stealth & nonstealth modern armor Iron Man figures. Also the red & white Hand Ninjas...i may be wrong on that one as the Hand ninja might be coming in a 2 pack or later wave.

Jokabofe over at Tri-Gate posted a pic of the new spidey as well. I think its a big improvement over the original. Amazing what a better paint job can do to a figure.

Should be easy to find - I snagged two dark Johnny's tonight (there were two light blues on the pegs as well.)



--gonna have to re-paint my custom Thing, though. Hope Sue comes out in both color schemes as well

Wow. That Spidey is great. I'll have to pick one of those up if I run across it. I've been holding back on the Marvel Universe stuff since it's pricey and none of them have jumped out and wowed me yet. But the dark Spidey and Symbiote Spidey both look great.

I haven't seen anything posted about this, but I saw a variant Thing today at Target.

Same thing as Human Torch, dark blue pants with a white belt and white boots.

I didn't have a camera with me, and I didn't get it, so no pictures to show.

I just got the Guardian wave from BBTS. It comes with a Spider-Man that has black parts instead of blue. And a black paint wipe.
