1992, bright colors again, but with a repaint job these vehicles aren't that bad. Battle Copter and Headquarters not included.
Let us know which vehicle you like best and please explain why!

The Barracuda was cool from the standpoint of being an interesting submarine that actually looked like a sub.

The Desert Apache would've been a lot more impressive had it not been a leftover from an entirely different line that was decidedly NOT G.I.Joe scale.

I ultimately had to go with the Storm Eagle. Cool name, dumb feature, but in plane mode, very decent looking. And they looked great on the deck of the FLAGG, arguably the best scaled plane FOR the Flagg of any every created for the line.

Storm Eagle. Found this and its Cobra counterpart at two different yard sales the same day years ago, both complete. Some of my favorite jets in the entire line. The feature is stupid, but like the Night Attack Chopper, the gimmicky of it is easily hidden away and doesn't destroy the playability of it as a jet.

I also voted for the Storm Eagle. It's a decent plane, and the gimmick doesn't really interfere with it.

The Barracuda is decent, despite the yellow. I still use it in my naval display.

The Patriot is OK as an artillery vehicle (Thunderclap really-lite), but it has no place on the battlefield, and I have no idea how it can move when it has no clearance from the ground.

Aside from Spirit's glider, I never owned any of the remaining 92 Joe vehicles. I never saw the Apache for sale anywhere (to be honest, I don't ever think I've seen one in person), and thanks to its scale problems, I've never cared to. As for Fort America, I had no interest in it even when I was buying everything back in 1992. The Eco-Striker never really made sense to me - if I'm going up against troops with corrosive chemical weapons, I'd want to approach them in something with a lot more protection than the Striker offers.

Wow, they all suck. No wonder the line was ending. I cannot in good faith vote for any of these vehicles. Maybe I'll have better luck in the Cobra poll.

Patriot.
I think the Apache could've been my #1, but I haven't seen one yet. I think it'll look awesome in dark green.

By this point, the vehicles coming from Hasbro all had that cheap Nylint toy look to them, so picking the best in this field is relative. Still, I will hold my nose and try:

Barracuda - Semi realistic mold that might have been okay if it was bigger. As it stands, it looks like a bath toy.

Patriot - The Joe's answer to the Cobra Paralyzer, except I don't think it can "tiptoe" on its treads. Regardless, it wasn't very good.

Storm Eagle - Wasn't there a Nylint airplane that looked exactly like this? It's sad this toy had to be so badly made, because the look of the aircraft actually kinda works; almost like an early F-22 Raptor variation. I can even forgive it for being a squirt gun. But it just looks sad and pathetic next to any other GI Joe aircraft that came before it.

Eco-Striker - You mean this WASN'T made by Funskool?

Desert Apache AH-74 - Yeah, the scale is way off. But it's the first and only Apache the Joes ever got, it's molded in brown, and I love the missile racks. I'm not saying it really deserves to be considered a great Joe toy, but in this group, it gets my vote.

Fort America - Wouldn't be so bad if it was built "out" instead of "up". The upper layers look like the cheap stackable shelving you can buy at Wal Mart.

Spirit's Glider - Again, I don't see why these get in and the Battle Copters don't...this doesn't impress me as a vehicle so much as just an accessory. Very patriotic colors, I'll give it that.

I remember being very turned off by the brick wall disguise gimmick on the Fort America vehicle and it ruined for me what could have been a pretty cool looking tank. I had to go with the Storm Eagle.

It went up against the F-22 Raptor in a flyoff. Its the Northrop/Mc Donnell Douglas F-23 for the ATF series and lost due to it made air vapor trails that could be picked up on radar. Also read where its being brought back out and upgraded for the new interim bomber position. It was said to have been larger than the F-15 Eagle and hold more munitions than the F-22. Also its the new Skystriker in the Resolute series. So maybe they new something after all about it huh? :rotfl:

Oh yea also voted for the Storm Eagle or SKYSTRIKER MK 2 from Resolute.
