1992, bright colors again, but with a repaint job these vehicles aren't that bad either. Battle Copters and Toxo Lab not included.

Oh, dear lord, 1992. That Earthquake. And the Rat. Two of the worst ever.

I went with the Liquidator. Dumb name, dumb feature, but a fairly decent-looking plane when left in plane mode. They and the Storm Eagles looked great, and well proportioned, when placed on the deck of the FLAGG.

I went with the Pa"r"asite, even though I like the BAT APC better now as a Cobra troop transport.

The Liquidator is not a bad plane despite the gimmick, but there's also nothing that particularly stands out about it (and, of course, it pales in comparison to the Hurricane). I always thought it was funny how the package art for the Storm Eagle and the Liquidator showed the Talking Battle Commanders Hawk and Cobra Commander as the respective pilots, when neither figure could fit in the cockpit without surgically removing the backpack.

The Earthquake is actually interesting vehicle that wasn't helped by the odd colors.

The Rat is an absolute turd. The less said, the better.

Oddly enough, though I've owned all of these vehicles at one point (1992 was essentially when I got back into serious Joe collecting), I don't think I own any of them presently.

Why are the gliders included but not the Battle Copters? Both were essentially oversized gimmicks.

Liquidator is wining? ATF... WTF?! That thing is a hollow, cheap-plastic piece of jive. And it's a squirt gun. Plz.

Funny, the squirt gun reference notwithstanding, this has always been how I pretty much viewed the Cobra RAT.

I know this is cheating, but I voted Parasite for the design and not the colors.

Glider

Whoops...........
I included the gliders as I think they did add some play value to people. The Battle Copters, well, they just fly into the air. No guns, no bombs or rockets, the figure had to handle the control collumns so it couldn't hold a gun for defence. I guess I was naive thinking people would prefer the motorized action pack helicopters and nobody would care for the Battle Copters. Sorry, my mistake!

Someone made a polar parasite which drove me to buy one, but I never completed the custom myself.

Actually, the Parasite wasn't all that bad, and I'd give it a capable second place. It's just that it seemed most of the vehicles from 1992 on both Joe and Cobra seemed a little too -- off -- somehow. The planes worked, despite a silly gimmick.

I did a Parasite in Star Brigade colors...

Earthquake!
It screams Dreadnoks to me, I will repaint one in the Thunder Machine colors once. No doubt it'll look great.

The Parasite is a good number two. Great vehicle for troop transport.

Looking back on the vehicles from these years, I'm reminded of Colonel Kurtz's words: "The horror...the horror...."

Earthquake - Looks like a TONKA toy, except even TONKA wouldn't sell something this garish.

Liquidator A.T.F. - My guess is this aircraft is based on the Blackburn Buccaneer. It suffers from many of the same problems as the Storm Eagle (and acually has an even worse name), but being molded in black saves it just enough for me to want one. It gets my vote...just barely.

Patasite - My brother had one of these, and the one thing I respect is that it actually looks like a tick; it has a head with "teeth" and a big round body. But I just can't respect anything else about this toy; it suffers from an ugly design, bad colors, and a gimmicky launcher (what is a "Gyro Catapult Bomb"?) Still, I almost voted for this over the Liquidator, that's how bad this year was.

Rat - Umm...yeah.

Air Devil's Glider - Liked the figure it came with.
