Rare, HTF, Mint, Discontinued, no longer in stores...take your pick.

The ones that annoy me are the ones that just don't apply. Like sticking "Army builder" or "Viper" or "25th" on auctions that are none of those things. A tangential pet peeve of mine people calling figures that never came with accessories "complete." Sure, technically true, but shut up.

I do agree to a point. But there are certain terms I have actually searched when I was building my collection. "Complete" is one I searched a lot because I liked getting all my stuff complete. So I will put that word in a lot of my listings. Parts, pieces, accessories, vehicles etc are others I have searched when looking for certain parts or part lots, so I will try to toss those in my heading if I have some parts up for grabs to draw more searches. "lot" is another term i try to use. But I do think it only applies if there is more than one item in the listing. I dont use rare, htf, and a few other of those ridiculous ones because no one types that crap in. I just try to make sure my listing headings have a few keywords people do search for, on the other hand, the heading also needs to give information to potential buyers to get them to open my listing and really see what I have for sale. Another reason to put the word Complete in a heading.

I only put in 25th if its 25th. Army builder is a waste of space. If a cobra figure could be mistaken for a viper, I will toss in viper in the heading. Like the Female Shock Troopers from the 2007 Convention set. I recently listed some of those and I have heard them referred to as Vipers and more commonly Skank-Vipers (chatroom) lol. So I used the word viper in that heading. Also when I sold my bagged set from that year I tossed viper, trooper, officer, rock n roll and doc into the sub heading to draw more viewers.

I have a buddy that puts "flagg" "defiant" and "night force" into every one of his headings to draw more viewers. It is annoying but he usually gets top dollar for his stuff by drawing more potential bidders to his auctions.

I hate it when I'm searching for stuff in the 1980-2002 catagory and the first page and a half of listings is 25a stuff. Im not opposed to 25a stuff mind you but it realy chaps my a$$ when its getting in the way of searching what i realy want :rant:

You usually see "gi joe" and "cobra" in most titles. Everything is technically G.I. Joe, but not everything is Cobra :monocle:

I saw the auctions with flagg and night force ;-)

Huge is a relative term, but it is embarrassing when someone is selling a small lot and calls it a "hugh" lot :lol:

Yeah that's a popular one. 99% complete but missing visor or mic.
Unless a figures comes with 99 accesssories (Spytroops?) you can't put 99% complete.

Love "rare". Not just in GI Joes, but everything. Seller makes a big deal of an item being rare, but the search turns up 30 items just like it....

I get tired of seeing all the AFA graded stuff. I like my toys loose and have no intention of paying $80 for a toy that used to cost $3-$5....or even worse a toy that Wal-Mart currently has on the peg for $7.

GRRRR i hate RARE and HTF. everyone says that, i dont know it offends me in a weird way actually. i know what im looking for and i know if i want it or not. i dont care if its rare or hard to find, and i dont need some doofus on ebay helping me realize what is hard to find!
theres so many people that arent collectors at all and know nothing of it. and just assume everything thats 20 years old is really really rare.
