this was a hard toss up between the MMC and the Defiant... Defiant pushed across the edge as the win... because it isnt just a vehicle, Its a vehicle/ playset,... with two other Vehicles,.. and one of THOSE is a Vehicle/Playset!!!!! its one of the first vehicles becide the Uss Flagg that could potentially hold all of your Figures all at once! |

I honestly could not vote on this one. The only two vehicles I would consider voting for, the MCC & Defiant, I've never played with so I have no idea if I'd like them or not. And the rest of the Joe vehicles this year were some of the worst Joe vehicles ever made. The Coastal Defender is one of the most embarrassing looking weapons ever, unless you're a big fan of MASK. The SLAM was small, ugly, and failed to work on any level. The Persuader should have been a Battleforce 2000 vehicle for all its futuristic wierdness. I actually like the Road Toad as a trailer, but why did they have to add a weapons station and make it somehow a vehicle on its own? I've never considered the Crossfire part of the mainline vehicles, though I suppose I should be thankful it gave us Rumbler and his peach pants. ![]() I actually like a lot of the figures that came out of this year, but it was an absolutely dreary year for vehicles. |

I wish I had a Defiant so I could make a fair ~ but I've never let not knowing all the facts stop me from sharing my opinion in the past, so why stop now!? For all its grander, I say the Defiant takes a step back from the MCC for one crucial reason, the Defiant is Space oriented, it can't be anything but space oriented. You put Iceberg in there, it looks mighty strange. The MCC is a headquarters so all your figured and vehicles can interact with it. As headquarters go I think its the best we've gotten so far. Some other thoughts: I like the SLAM as a gun platform, but it had too many orange missiles. I leave the orange missiles off and think if the little slivers of plastic that remain as some kind of radiator system to cool the machine down. Road Toad is excellent - it serves a purpose in your Joe adventures that isn't served elsewhere. And I think the weapon is necessary because a stalled vehicle is an easy target, but the gun being single-stamp and ORANGE, sucks, and the missiles are over-kill. Coastal Defender gets a bad rap. I have a half dozen of them. I love using them in convoys. Never open them mind you, but it's a good place to stow backpacks on a long journey. Persuader - a little too Sci-Fi for me. Had the cannon muzzle been round I would have liked it better. Cross Fire R/C - awesome in concept but since I've never gotten to test one out in the yard I can't comment. |

Had to go with the Defiant, although the Jawa Sandcrawler, I mean the Mobile Command Center, was also impressive. I also liked the R/C Crossfire. First radio-controlled vehicle I ever owned. Still have it, too. |

I picked the Defiant, although I have never seen it. I did find a second-hand Crusader a while back, so looking at that and how it was a small part of the Defiant complex I can appreciate that it must have been huge and fun. The S.L.A.M. might be underrated, it has big guns and plenty of missiles. |

I voted Mobile Command Center. I always wanted one, and I still do. |

This one is just as unfair as the Flagg poll. Although they may be considered vehicles, the defiant, flagg and td are extreme playsets and should be a category to themselves... |

I disagree.... Althout the Flagg and Terrordrome are technically playsets. the Defiant is a vehicle, considering it is equipped with wheels and moves. Which makes It an extremely large vehicle, but a vehicle nonetheless. |

MCC. Great base/vehicle with lots of playability in small sections: medical bay, garage, prison cell, control center, elevator.........awesome! Road Toad is my second choice. I don't mind the orange and the gun+missiles that much. I see it operating in and around bases. Damaged vehicles get towed out of the battlefield by other tanks. The Road Toad is used in the safer areas, but can defend itself if necessary. Tim 121RVC |
