I know Lanard's stuff is not a universal fan-favorite, but I like 'em, and find I can often find uses for Corps parts in my Joe 'bashes.

I like the new-sculpt stuff (Despite having, so sadly, aped the v.1 Joe non-hips....*sigh*), but was just thinking the other day that the supply line of vintage-style Corps stuff might soon dry up. MY stock pile was starting to run low, and hadn't been having much luck w/ebay.

Well lo-and-behold I walk into Wal*Mart tonight and they've got a "Special Missions All Original CORPS! Members Collectible Vintage Series" 10-man box set. 11 bucks. That's right at my buck-a-head kitbash-fodder threshold so I bit :)

Haven't cracked 'em open yet, but I fear there MIGHT be some QC issues with elbow rivets, but lets hope not. Unfortunately my favorite tooling (The bomber-jacket torso) is not in this set, but it's pretty much all useful molds, and even a few of the quasi-rare ones. I don't think I've ever seen the toolings for EITHER of the 2 bad guys, but Im guessing they're from the mid-90s era where everybody in the Lanard universe seemed to be a mohawked-punk-freak.

Anyhow, vintage Corps lovers rejoice, we just got resupplied!

I saw that, I liked the price, but I haven't picked them up.

Why can't hasbro knock out a set of 10 mid 90's figures for 11 bucks? :)

On the one hand I wasn't surprised to see Lanard do this, lord knows they squeeze as much cash out of tooling as is humanly possible, and I guess this is THEIR version of an "Anniversary Line" ;-)

BUT, OTOH cheap bastards that they are, if they can do this and have it be economically feasible....kinda puts all those $30 TRU sets from a few years back into perspective. :-/

Come on Hasbro, give us the whole Eco-Warriors range (Sans color changing paint and water shooting backpacks, obviously)for 20 bucks

I'd get really stoked if they brought back their emergency line of vehicles. With the firetruck, ambulance, and cop car.

I am really hoping they can bring back the emergency line, that is something I really didn't know about.

Sorry about the double-topic! Did some searching but failed to turn up the other thread.

RE: The rescue line-

YES, they were GREAT! I've got the Ambulance, which is a VERY nice vehicle, and I've used a a bunch of the doctor-characters with head-swaps to be medi-vipers. They look nothing like the comic or the DTC versions, but they're very serviceable all the same.

Mods feel free to shut down the thread!

I picked up this set back in January.
Classic corps figures are far better than their new crappy figs.

So you can just show up at Lanards warehouse and buy stuff?

How does that work?

Cause KC is just a short jaunt. . .

actually No, you cant. they only open it up during christmas (at least thats what I m told)

However a Joe friend who buys a LOT from them is in the process of convincing them to open up during Joecon and/or getting a table at joecon.
