While painstakingly dissecting a Scarlett figure...I noticed a little plastic "T" type part that connects the body to the abdomen.

I want to cast this for future use...for those who cast out there, what do you use?

I don't have an answer for you, but I think that if it is a piece that has a lot of stress or force put on it (ie-the key piece to make the figure articulate), then it would need to be made from something that isn't gonna readily break.

Not trying to be a downer-but more from a thinking this through ("measure twice, cut once") view. It would be moot to waste time and resources on a product if it has to be replaced at some point in the future.

Was this Scarlett figure the single pack version, and if so, is there a backpack hole?

No, this is the part that attaches the waist to the upper torso. It gives the torso it's movement...with out it..well..you got a torso with no bottom

I've taken apart a few 25th figures and these don't seem to be a standard size. Some of the ones I have taken apart (like Cobra Python Officer) did not have a rubber tip at the end while others (like Snow Job) do. I think the rubber tip was to add the piece's ability to shift side to side in a slot, yet provide some friction to stay in place.

So if you did cast it, it wouldn't be a standard for every use. I haven't had trouble doing a bit of sanding and/or cutting in order to get parts to be compatible. But it seems like it may be something you want to take into account. And I would agree with DarkJedi about watching for stress on this piece. It seems like it is one of the central points holding the figure together. So I won't want it to snap after I glue the chest back together and do touch up painting.
