Just got these Capt and Goblin in the mail today and i have to say they are great. They are much improved over the SHS figures and they have sold me on hasbro's ability to give us superheroes in this scale. ![]() Captain American (with SHS comparison) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Green Goblin (with SHS comparison) ![]() ![]()

I actually prefer the SHS goblin based on those pics. Hasbro Cap does look better though. So is that how his arms are stuck or can cap put his arms against his body. Looks like he should be able too, but noticed alot of these Hasbro ones have that "spread arms" syndrome from the JVC days. |

Yeah, I definitely prefer the SHS goblin, or at least the head. The rest look much, much better than their SHS counterparts, though. |

That goblin has me rethinking my spidey set up and scale from the Legend figs. |

Dude Cap America from SHS looks like some weird amalgamation of Ivan from Young Frankenstein and Smeegle from LOTR |

The arms can go all the against the torso, but i had to force them abit to do it. I think the "spread arms" is normal position though. Yeah the SHS Goblin sculpt is probably better has has a little bit more articulation, but the feel of the MU figure is alot better plus the MU figure has the ability to hold the pumkin bomb in his hand (he has a small hole in his hand for the stem of the bomb to go in) so that gets him props in my book. The one on 21st didn't even a spot for them, but at the one on 71st it looked like they had set out a case or two of them. |

Thanks for the pics. I'm crazy jealous that it seems everyone is finding these early except for me. It is funny that people on this board keep referring to them as Fury Files when the line is called Marvel Universe. It would be like calling GI JOES, File Cards and Flag Points figure. |

Rasputin wrote: Dude Cap America from SHS looks like some weird amalgamation of Ivan from Young Frankenstein and Smeegle from LOTR Man, you're right. I'm kinda glad I wasn't in on the Showdown figs. This new cap looks outstanding. It is clear that a major difference in the lines is weathering vs a production figure level of clean. As a customizer the MU figs are more of a clean slate to detail as each person sees fit. I'm really glad I haven't tried my hand at a Cap figure yet though. If I do one, it will certainly be little more than tweaks to this one. |

The new Cap looks like he'd fit a lot better into my Joes figures. The touch of realism on the boots and such just add that extra something. Ha ha, really like that expression on the Goblin's face. It's messed up without being too much over the top. Not a big Goblin fan, but I may just have to get that one. Okay and I know it's just me but for some odd reason Weapon X's head looks more like Nathan Explosion's head from Metalocalypse than Wolvie's head. But then maybe that's not such a bad thing because I could get lazier with the customizing. |

Found 9 out of 11 of wave 1 at KMart up in my neck of the woods (WA). Somebody had already snagged Flaming Johny and Bullseye. Pretty cool figures. Much better than SHS in my opinion. Only complaints I have are that some of the thigh joints are too tight and have to be worked carefully (on figures like DD and Reg Johny Storm) , that and my Iron Man had loose knees. Even with those minor complaints at least they don't fall apart just from being touched. I had to add a dab or 3 of super glue to multiple joints on every SHS figure I had. Can't wait to find wave 2 and the wolverine movie figs. |
