I was checking out FoxHole and I stumbled upon this Stryker Tank coming soon by Forces of Valor I just watched Alien vs Predator 2 the other night and some of the characters were riding around in one of these and they called it the Stryker so I went to the net and hunted for a 1/18 stryker and voila http://store.foxholetoys.com/1scfoofvabrt16.html US Army Armored Vehicle comes complete with:
8 x Rolling wheels, Opening hatches that fit 4-inch size action figures, Painted in Olive-Drab camo paint scheme with authentic US markings, Rugged plastic construction. also I was wondering if maybe we could have a vehicle subsection somewhere on this site (I'm a vehicle nutcase , vehicles are one of the major reasons I made the switch to 1/18 scale figures ) |

That's pretty sweet. It reminds me of the A.P.C. at the end of Blood Harvest on Left 4 Dead. |

Well that's good news. I've been using a BBI Marine LAV as a modded "Stryker" and it just doesn't work as well as I'd like. Let's hope this one has more opening hatches and is a little sturdier. If so, I'll end up getting a few and modding them to fit different missions. Thanks for the heads up! Hope they're easy to find when they start hitting the shelves. |

I'm looking for something like the Warthog that will hold at least 6 figures and if this thing functions like what I saw in AVP2 it just may do the trick |

Sub section? Does broken and left at the FOB count as a subsection? I'll take an LAV over a striker any day of the week. |

Honestly, how many of us would guy an ARAH/25th on of these? Kinda like a miniature Rolling Thunder and a Warthog's love child... |

FOB ?? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forward_Operating_Base -- Just like the (piece-of-crap) Humvee, and the Apaches that used to crash every 5 minutes during Desert Storm, the Stryker had/has a LOT of issues - especially when it first deployed. |

How many figures can you get in that LAV ? and I'll say it again at the risk of being kicked out of the Pitt I don't really care for GI JOE vehicles |

The BBI LAV will only fit one in the turrets (only one hatch) but about 4-6 in the troop section in the back (tight fit, though.) |

FOB = forward operating base I have two bbi LAVs. they each have one working hatch and a tight compartment in back that you could probably squeeze 6 figures in. RAH fit a bit better then 25th. there is another turret hatch and a driver hatch but neither work. Now my Bradley's each have two hatches in the turret, and one for the driver and fit about 6 guys in the back. and I have something from the M113 family from walmart that holds a good bit of figures. but yeah, my time in the sand made my love for the Stryker evaporate like a puddle on Eva Mendez's tummy (you cause she's friggin hot), couple that with all the controversy on how they got into the Army in the first place... I actually don't hate the Humvee, I just think it's being used incorrectly. by think I mean know. |
