A friend of mine in northern California has reported that Indiana Jones German Soldiers were all of 75 cents at a Wal-Mart near him. They were marked at two bucks, but taken down at the register. He got some non-Germans for the same price.

I don't know if this will apply EVERYWHERE, but for those of you waiting to stock up on some cheap Nazis... :)

Wow that would have been nice! My Walmart still has them for $3. The 3 pack Crystal Skull were $12.96.

All WM's are different and they won't price match each other no matter what, mine still has them for $3.00 each and $7.00 for the Indy w/Ark deluxe pack.

I just got back from Wal-Mart, and the Indy figures they had weren't 75 cents...they were 50 cents!

I bought all they had, 3 Indys w/RPG, 2 Sallahs, and one each of Mutt w/jacket, Indy from Raiders, and Ugha Warrior. I just couldn't pass them up!

were they posted on the shelfs with this price or were they when you scan checked them? Ones I'm seeing listed on the shelfs still say $3 each. :-|

They were marked 50 cents, I scanned them just to be sure before running them up to checkout.

Mine are still $3. I know because I grabbed a German soldier to replace the one I snapped over the weekend. I also picked up the role play whip with dvd for my son for $5.

If somebody that can provide proof, like a photo of the price, then maybe your local store manager could adjust the price, i was talking with the toy dept. Mgr. and she said if i had a register reciept or some kind of documentation, then she would ask the store Mgr.

I posted before about WM's not price matching other WM's, but i was wrong :shifty:

SO POST THEM RECIEPTS OR PHOTO OF THE PRICE ON THE SHELF, PLEASE !

Interesting.

You know I have a theory and really only somebody who has worked at the place can say if it is true or not, but i think they are told to say "we don't price match" so nobody goes through the trouble of finding a receipt and bringing it in.

If they say they don't people may believe them even though if you actually bring one in they have a policy to do it.

I mean I could see why a store won't price match on the one hand because for instance if there is a concentration of collectors (or scalpers for that matter) in an area the stuff sells well enough to where even a small drop in price is still fine for them.

On the other hand they don't want to create the illusion that their chain is ripping people off by not charging the absolute lowest price (customers can start to have ideals really quickly and a 5 dollar price match may cause a disgruntled customer to pay more but go somewhere else because the store refused to do it).

This is why as I mentioned I think they want to give out as little info as possible about closings, further reduction schedules, etc. and still maintain some sense of being customer friendly.
