Link to two pictures of the new movie toys, one of the Transporter playset and Kirk, Spock, and Urhura. The other pic is of the Bridge playset. Not bad looking, and may have potential for customs.

If I'm reading that right on the Bridge playset page, it sounds like figures will be coming with consoles and chairs. Their wording makes it a little hard to tell.

That bridge looks great to me
alot of play room (i judge these by the amount of actual seats there are for figs) and for that price unless it is made of complete flimsy crap that seems quite reasonable.

the figs look ok too.

Get me a 3-3.4" scale version of the Promenade or Ops from Deep Space Nine (or really anything else other than this revisionist crap), then we'll talk... :-/

It does mention that the set uses a "play mat" which sounds to me like a vinyl mat everything sit on top of.

Yep, the bridge just comes with the captain's chair, helm station, 2 data screens, main screen and the bridge layout mat it's all sitting on. The other figures come with the other stations (Spock w/ science station, Uhura w/ communications, Scotty w/ engineering) I'm assuming.

Build-A-Bridge. Not a bad idea. Not crazy about having to buy a bunch of T-crotch figures to get the bridge pieces but I'll do it. That bridge stuff looks cool.

The Transporter room I'll have to see in stores. Not sold on the play feature it comes with and honestly doesn't look too engaging. Nice but not enough to warrant a purchase from pics alone.

If someone has an extra Terror Drome and wants something different, that Star Trek Bridge Playset might fit right in there. A mini TV could replace the playset's Main View screen to be more realistic.

The Transporter playset's control console looks like a very useful item too.

Build a bridge is cool, and from what I understnd there are no chase figures - The transporter...I am on the fence I think it could be a good lab set...I am hoping the crotchs are like the power team elite figures and not just Star Wars like.

Qaplah!

looks... ok.

T could use the parts to enhance my U.S.S. Flagg Starship Diorama.

I wonder if the figures have PTE articulation? that would at least make the T crotch acceptible.

There is no indication this is the case, but wouldn't it be cool if the main disk of the Enterprise toy lifted off and you could place the vinyl mat from the bridge playset in there? The scales would be way off, but it would be a cool feature.

I don't mind the playsets. I would like figures of the classic characters though.

No I think it was Enterprise that real Trekkies don't like.

I was excited about the bridge set-up for $25 until I realized the majority of the chairs and consoles were sold separately. I might buy a couple figs for custom potential, and just to get a couple consoles.
