Hasbro Toy Shop takes a lot of "LASER BLAST" about the way they do things. Most of the complaints are perfectly justified. But from my personal experience I've not had any issues that weren't quickly and easily corrected. In fact the one time I had an order screwed up, I came out ahead in the end. They sent me the wrong Joe figure, I called, spoke to a live person, got my correct figure sent out and got to keep the wrong one. Can't complain about service like that.

But after all the horror stories I've read recently I was skeptical about ordering the Best Of DVD packs when they became available last week. I went ahead and pulled the trigger and got the two sets I needed. I had to place two separate orders due to their limit but both orders went through just fine. They both shipped the same day, within the "ships within" guidelines advertised and the tracking worked perfectly. Both arrived on my doorstep yesterday, well packed with plenty of those airbags protecting them. Each box was in good shape considering it went through both FedEx and USPS systems. And I got the correct item I ordered in both boxes.

Honestly I thought I'd get screwed somehow. One of my orders would be cancelled since I exceeded the limit. I'd get the wrong item. The boxes would be smashed. Something I just knew would go wrong, based on all I've read recently. I am quite pleased to say that this order went flawlessly (aside from doing an end-run around the limit thing) and I couldn't be happier.

For all the "LASER BLAST" they take on a regular basis, some of it from me, this time they get an "atta boy". I still disagree with the way they do things and some of the items they offer but when I get service like this I honestly can't complain too much.

Also please don't turn this thread into a gripe session about HTS. There's already a thread for that. I'd like this to be a discussion of how HTS does things right. I know I'm not the only one that has had good experiences with them. Maybe it's time to share a little of that positivity.

Thanks!

The only real gripe I've had with them was getting bent card backs and suck. I'm an opener, so it isn't a real big issue with me. Other than that, I find them to be a source of Joe stuff online at retail price, which is unusual. I haven't had a major issue with them.

Yeah, I dunno what the issue is with HTS. I love it, I dont have to drive all over town looking for stuff so it saves gas and time. I might not be the first kid on the block with the newest figures, but I spend less time looking for them too. I just need a little patience to wait for the popular stuff to pop up and that is no problem. I have ordered all my DVD packs through them, most of my army builders and a majority of my vehicles from the new line. I have received everything I ordered minus one goof. Instead of a CC/Gungho pack I got SW fig stands which do fit the 25th Joes so I didnt really care, I just reordered the CP. I placed my most recent order less than 2 weeks ago (Mocassin/Sky Hawk) and I have already received it!

Sure I have to pay for shipping but there is always a discount code for at least 10%. I will always be a loyal HTS fan. I already have 5 extra magnets to prove it. My fridge is starting to look pretty cool.

They've always been good to me (good packing, order always correct, items undamaged) except when it comes to issuing me a refund. I've been waiting about 3 months now. Just this one incident and all the headaches it has caused makes it hard for me to be totally positive about them

The recent transactions you described should be nothing special. You should have received correct orders quickly and undamaged anyway. You're only bringing it up because of the recent posts of bad stories which made you skeptical about ordering in the first place.

Your good orders and my previous dozen good orders should not make someone any less cautious. Mistakes and bad deals will happen from time to time for everyone, but lately, they seem to occur a lot more with HTS.

When HTS "comes through", that is what is supposed to happen and should be nothing to get excited about. Unfortunately, it is worth getting excited about and worth posting about because when they've been bad, they've been really bad

When they start to have fewer major foul-ups, then we should praise them for doing a good job :-)

All the years I orded from HTS, I've never had nothing damaged. Items have always arrived either on time or a few days early than what the tracking would say. Only real "problem" I had was during the DTC blowout sale. I ordered 4 each of Barrel Roll & Maj Barrage, but recieved 5 BR's & 3 MB, which was no biggie. In fact, last month they did me good. I ordered a Sting Raider & a Ghost Hawk. Instead of the free magnet, I got a second Sting Raider.

The only problem I've ever had over the years is with the Pepsi Optimus Prime from a year or two ago. Other than that, I've had no problems. However, I gotta agree with what's been said above. Them actually performing the way they are supposed to in the first place really should not be a reason to get excited.

They were the only place I found Elsa figures from the Indy Last Crusade wave!
