Anyone know why Nemesis Enforcer's name was changed to Nemesis Immortal?
Seems kinda arbitrary to me, and his name was good before.

Also...

Having some problems with this figure. Lots of balance issues getting him
to stand up with his wings in place (and even without)... he's just way top-heavy.
I think another peg on his stand would help, but....
What's funny is, Lt. Falcon's stand comes with two pegs, while Nemesis's only
has one!

Arg.

Probably a licensing issue

I hate this figure. I couldn't get the wings into the backpack without boiling water and customization tools. I can't get him to pose or stand properly.

I know that he gets a lot of love from the fans, but I'm not sharing it. He's going on my purple shelf - at the back.

Yeah, I was keen to get him, but it took me about an hour to get the wings on using conventional (fingertips and screwdriver) methods.

The off-balance issues bug me somewhat. My wife saw him and decided Joe jumped the shark and sucks now.

The fact it's a Cobra La figure makes me avoid it. A reminder of one of the most idiotic bits of storytelling to ever be used in the franchise.

You people are crazy. Well partially anyway. I did have some issues getting one of his wings on. I don't have any balance issues. I have him posed on one of those SHS display stnads in flight mode now. He looks much more menacing that way.

That's a neat idea, wish I had one of those. Maybe will bash one together somehow.
Flight mode makes more sense anyway. Still would like him to be able to stand up
though. Maybe I'll drill a second peg through his stand.

Not sure I understand the licensing thing... wouldn't Hasbro own the rights anyway?

I did like the comic that came w/ the 2-pack though. Falcon was way cooler than
the idiot in the movie, but the whole thing ended pretty abruptly.

Well, off to the workshop... finally got the base I needed for my Cobra R.O.C.C.
(needed something to challenge my R.H.I.N.O.)

Cheers

To me that name change isnt nearly as annoying as calling Mainframe Dataframe it loses something in the switch.

Huh, weird...I didn't have any problems at all with the wings on mine. I've also found that flipping the stand around (so that the name plate is facing backwards) helps...gives a larger area of the stand behind him, so he's less likely to tip over.

The wings on mine went on fine too. He stood in his pose pretty well also, but his ankle joint has slowly made him fall backwards. He leans against the wall right now due to me not fixing his pose yet.

I use to think that. The movie is, well, silly, but read the filecards. Holy cow could they be done awesomely in the right hands.

The name change was doubtless a legal issue, and hardly the first time it's happened. I don't have a great understanding of copyright law, but I would guess there's something in there that if you don't use a trademarked name for a certain period of time, it can be snapped up somewhere else, although why "Nemesis Enforcer" or some of the other mild alterations we've seen would be problematic is a question I cannot answer.

As to the figure, I actually got it simply because, format notwithstanding, it was such an improvement over the original appearance-wise and looked much more like the movie counterpart, which I honestly think is the main reason Hasbro did it. There was no other reason to do anyone from Cobra-La, and Lt. Falcon was the logical second figure in the set since he had such a strong role in the film.

I haven't had any problems with Nemesis standing, but I'll admit I haven't even tried to attach his wings yet. The only issue I had was the torso was a bit misaligned, and I was able to correct that with some gentle force.

No balancing issues getting it to stand, but it was a bit of a struggle to get his wings in. I think I was just worried that if I tried to "force it" something would break. Once I got the first wing attached, I got the second one to go in no problem. I think it just depends on the quailty of each piece of your particular figure and how well the notches of the plastic pack and rubber wings came out of the factory. Better to have a tight fit than a loose one :-)

Nemesis Immortal is a more elite form of Nemesis Enforcer. :rotfl:

His wings went in a bit hard, but they weren't that bad. The big problem I have with both of my nemies, is that their ankles are kind of floppy, making it difficult to get them to stand, even without a backpack. Adding a second peg to the stand, helped.
