I saw a book on amazon.com that looked interesting and was curious if anyone here had seen or read it. It's called "Now You Know: The Unauthorized Guide to G.I. Joe TV and Comics'.

http://www.amazon.com/Now-You-Know-Unauthorized-Comics/dp/1570329028/ref=reg_hu-wl_item-added

I am also trying to remember a trio of GIJOE guides that were published in the last year that covered the post 1997 figures, including foreign figures and variants. I believe one of the authors is 'Ron _____'.

EDIT

Found the info I needed on the trio of books.

Follow-up question

Does anybody happen to remember where exactly we talked about the three Action Figure Archive books on here?

I've been going through the Marketplace from page 79-54 and haven't found anything yet.

it may be on the old board. those archive books are awesome. even if you dont collect international figures, there is a ton of info in there.

I thought it had been mentioned around the date of the Con and one of the authors had posted info about them. I've checked the member list and didn't see either one listed.

The International book, despite some holes, remains the definitive published work on international Joe figures. It is fairly complete and has a lot of stuff you can't get elsewhere. The other books are well done, but don't cover the Anniversary figures nor anything released since shortly before the '06 Convention. So, they are dated. But, again, there is nothing else out there that covers those figures. So, for that reason alone, they still have some value for all collectors.
